Ecell = Ecath-Eano = (-0.763 - 0.337) = -1.1V. The solution is correct but reasoning seems off. You multiply to balance the electrons in the equation, this should not affect the reduction potential value for the half equations.
@learningwithlanden
@learningwithlanden Ай бұрын
@@jch6031 oh, haha! Yes, the reduction potential remains the same for the half equations 👍 Perhaps I explained my rationale poorly Good catch

@@EmmanuelObeng-t7d Glad to hear it! Yes, if you attend a United States university, you can join ROTC. BUT you cannot contract for a scholarship until you are a naturalized US citizen, and the military requires you give up your citizenship in your home country. It’s a tough decision to make. I have some friends who are French and they had to give up their dual citizenship to join the military.

@learningwithlanden
@learningwithlanden Ай бұрын
@ If you’re currently in a graduate program, that is a bit more difficult. You will need to contact the ROTC representative at your university for more specifics. They will likely tell you that you need at least two more years of schooling to enroll in ROTC.

My question is what would I get issued when going over there because under the ARMY ROTC here in Hawaii told me that I have to attend the Cadet summer training So what would I get issued would it be PT uniforms shorts and a shirt Water bottle Common Access Card OCP uniforms Coat pants and shirts Boots Cover (Hat) ? and what platoon would I be in when going their since I would be coming from the Hawaii Army ROTC ? because I was told that I have to attend in order to get back in the program here in Hawaii and my dad was not Military but he was Law Enforcement on the Federal side and he was a Federal Agent for the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) but my grandfather on my mom side was in the Marines for 20 years fought in Vietnam 🇻🇳 and he was with 2/3 (2nd Marine /3rd Battalion) and he never talked about the war with me though but he was the one I looked up to as well

@@WyattKahoaliiAiu Good questions: First, are you going to the University of Hawaii currently or will be attending there in the fall? You will be issued all necessary gear (everything you mentioned in your list except the water bottle and more) by your program. You will only be issued additional equipment (like a medical pouch or additional barracks bag) at CIF during CST (you don’t want to get anything issued at CIF because it’s a pain to clean and return. Regardless of which school you attend, they will randomly pair you up in a platoon at CST (the one exception is that they’ll move you out of a platoon if one of your program’s cadre are leading it). Does that answer your questions or am I misinterpreting what you’re asking?

Hey loved the video I would also like to see what your body looks like at 6 percent because I feel like the inbody scans are not that accurate my fat percent show 21 bomut on most different machine and more accurate machines it show around 24 but I only have access to inbody now so wanted to know what to expect from the machine and what the variation is like
@learningwithlanden
@learningwithlanden Ай бұрын
When I was at 6.1%, I was about 12 lbs lighter after a summer of Army training, so I didn't eat much (MREs). So physically, I think I actually looked skinnier when InBody said I had a higher PBF (my suspicion is that my body water content was significantly higher when I took my most recent test, which artificially dropped the impedance, making it seem like I had a 4.0% PBF. Hope that provides some insight.

I've found that having higher than average body water also tends to make the machine show higher smm and lower body fat %. I do a scan each week and the smm line almost mirrors the body water line. Mirror check vs my scan... I'm guessing the scan is telling me about 3 or 4% lower than I actually am. I use it more for measuring progress rather than an actual accurate result. Dexa scan if I want a more accurate number

What year were you at the time of filming? I’m going to be a freshman in college next year doing rotc and I want an idea of what i can expect with uniforms,pt, labs, etc. Edit: you said you got uniforms at the beginning of rotc. Before you contracted?

Spring of my freshman year in college. Congrats on joining ROTC? Hopefully on scholarship :) My program has a Hello Weekend, where all the cadets gather for a fun pre-semester event and the new cadets are issued the basics: 2 pairs of OCPs, boots, ruck sack, 2 duffels, an assault pack, 2 pairs of PTs, and some miscellaneous items. This video was after I contracted, when I finally received more equipment that completed my needs. ROTC is very different dependent on program, so I can't speak to specifics and suggest reaching out to an MSIII or MSIV to ask them about PT, labs, FTX, etc. For my program, PT is 4 days a week at 0600-0720. Labs are Friday afternoons for 4 hours. FTX is once a semester over 3 days (weekend). Get familiar with USACC AR 670-1, which details the wear and appearance of the uniform to help you get in standard. Some of my more recent videos go into more detail with uniform, labs, and what to expect at the seminal event: cadet summer training after your MSIII year. Best wishes and Ad Meliora--Toward Better Things!

Is rotc hard to balance with a regular schedule as a freshman. I’m doing rotc next year and starting colleg.
@learningwithlanden
@learningwithlanden 2 ай бұрын
It depends on your major, schedule, and time management skills. Most of the time, freshmen enter thinking it's really hard to balance the student and ROTC life, then they realize by their MSIII year that freshman year wasn't that bad. If you are spending more than 30 hours a week on homework, 10 hours a week on ROTC events (not including FTX or football game help), and in more than 18 credits, then that is actually a very hard time commitment and you will need to learn how to create more efficiency or drop something you like to do temporarily. Remember to experience "college life" and make meaningful relationships so that you have more drive when hardship comes your way. Never be afraid to ask an upperclassman or professional at your school for help. Ad Meliora!
