Jared is a superb financial author who knows his stuff, yet is able to remain relatable to the average Schmoe. Gold remains an underowned asset even in terms of what it can do for portfolio efficiency, however gold miners have not proven to offer the same qualities as the metal and unfortunately tend to deliver more risk for the reward they offer, so be careful with anything more than a tiny sliver, and do NOT assume that gold miners are a proxy for gold in terms of portfolio allocation decisions.

Good discussion thank you. It is not however a binary choice between capitalism and socialism. Unbridled capitalism is just as bad as extreme socialism. When the motive to succeed no longer produces wealth commensurate with ability then we have problems.

I'm sorry to be so frank, but please be careful about this man's conspiratorial predictions. I listened to one of his interviews with Adam on Wealtheon channel a couple of years ago. Simon was very sure about how the economy would evolve in coming years and made very concrete predictions with time stamps. ALL of his predictions for 2022, 2023, and (so far) 2024 turned out to be COMPLETELY wrong. Don't make important investment decisions based on this guy's predictions. He might seem very confident in his own analysis, but (based on the accuracy of his previous predictions) I'm pretty convinced that he's got no idea what he is talking about.

This was a very important video, because it revealed that you are not a reliable information source. You are not able to interrogate claims made by an interviewee, challenge, fact-check, or even reflect upon their plausibility in real time. This man should not be given an airing. He is a noxious Putin-apologist who himself is incapable of judging the reliability of the information upon which he is building his view of the world. There was no NATO bunker destroyed by a Russian missile in late March: that is prima facie highly questionable (you fell down here) and easily fact-checked to be transparent nonsense. Even more imbecilic (and reprehensibly so) is he statement as established fact that the US, UK and Ukraine committed the terrorist attack in Moscow. No aspect of that claim stands up to plausibility: it is mere Putin apoligism and occidental self-flagellation. You might argue that it is not your remit to challenge people who are generous enough to come on your channel, and I agree-- that is precisely why KZbin is incapable of functioning as a substitute for professional media.

For an econ that produces nothing, it's worth zero. That's the US's econ. Its a house of cards where they dabbles in paper financial wealth bc they owned the world reserves currency. Real economy produces goods. Basic econ 121.

This bloke is precisely wrong about copper. There is a structural shortfall in copper coming, coupled with increased demand, just likes what's happening with Uranium. There simply haven't been enough significant new copper mines built recently, right at a point when copper demand has never been higher. The copper price has held up really well recently, even as lithium, nickel and iron ore prices decline due to economic weakness and oversupply. That's what the economists at BHP say, one of the worlds largest miners, and that's who I'll listen to over this pompous drawling pom, who is almot impossible to listen to. Christ man, be wrong a bit faster at least.

Simon Hunt has very gloomy forecasts. He doesn't speak in probabilities. He says this will happen then that will happen leading to this terrible outcome. I don't think that's forecasting. That's imagining you actually know the future. His brain is dusty. If he turns out to be right, then it was pixy dust.
