Biased and wrong information. The sources of used in this video obviously all lead to Jean Baker's biography of MTL in which most of her citations do not support her claims - so much so that it should be considered fiction.

Geez, I knew John Adams was a tiger dad, but John Q. should be John T.R. - for T Rex dad. Do you know if this family man (umm .... dysfunctional family man) was such an ogre to his wife?

I've always thought that God could to a better job of proving his might if he would just end homelessness or put an end to war and lay off the party tricks. Just sayin'.

Thanks for a fabulous video! Ol' Man Ben was rotten to his wife and daughter as well, but it wasn't as bad as his treatment of William.

At least George Washington had siblings. I'm an only child.

That's the first Historical Account I have ever heard about George Washington's Mother. Is this a Series...President's Mothers ?? I know Truman's Mother in Law, never thought he would amount to much, as local Judge and Senator, even when he was Vice President too. She thought her daughter could have done better in a Husband. Until that fateful day FDR died. And she addressed him as Mr. President.

Thanks, for watching. It is not a series specifically about presidential mothers but more about that tough familial relationships presidents had with their their parents, spouses and even children. The next one coming out later this week will be about John Quincy Adams and his spite for his own sons. You however gave me a good idea about Truman and I may just look into him. Thank you in advance for the idea.

Mental diagnosis was not yet developed fully, she had what I thought of as a fragile state of mind, never suited for Abraham Lincoln or politics.

The naff background music is too loud and totally spoilt the video.

According to the book, “The Lincolns, Portrait of a Marriage” by Daniel Epstein, Lincoln was sitting on the floor playing with his kids, and she hit him with a stick of apple wood. I think Abraham Lincoln was a saint, so to speak, in many ways. That book was quite revealing.

Thanks for watching and sharing. I agree. I do still feel bad for her though. The thought of being stuck in an insane asylum especially back then is mortifying.
@A2D42 ай бұрын
I feel sorry for her too. She clearly had a then-undiagnosed mental condition. I believe one or more of her brothers were fighting on the side of the South, which couldn’t have helped her many anxieties.

That book is full of falsehoods. Look up the citations and trace them to the original source
