Part of the issue is both that they still sell well worldwide and that they probably still have supply issues with the current Hilux. I believe that the new Hilux is more likely for 2025 end debut, with deliveries realistically 2026.

My problem with waiting for the new generation is that they will ALL be hybrids. Definitely a deal breaker. Maybe I can get a deal on the 2024 when the 2025's arrives. I find that every upgrade these days just adds more annoying warning bells. Buying something that is tried and true is NOT a bad thing. Early adopters in the car market usually pay for the "experiments gone wrong syndrome".

This is how Toyota has always done it for the past 30years…10 year cycle & the first generation of the last 3 Lux have had issues the last of this generation will be fine without any problems.

Bought a Hilux recently. It has most of the modern bells and whistles. Keyless entry, push button start, 9 inch infotainment screen, wireless android and carplay. New to hilux; disc brakes on the rear, wider track front and back to improve high speed twisted handling and rockcrawling. What cant be seen that is a constant, is superb construction, a thicker grade steel used throughout, d u r a b i l i t y!! Another constant: a simple yet reliable and best in class 4x4 system. You think the hilux is old, I cant understand there is a still a viable market for older, with old technology, toyota series like the 70!! Some people value reliability and simplicity over everything else. They may be boring, but live very peaceful lives!!

ne minute recording over 1GB after edit it 100MB you cant let in your computer UN edit it there you need huge har disc your computer never gonna edit quick with insta360 software because cant use all your prosesor capacite 30 minutes 8K recording shuting down because of heating so not use summer... one lens schrach camera is useless unless you send them insta360 to hongkong x4 220 dollars x3 120 dollar cost a repair your garantie is useless for this you know why they send them with lensguard because you need it

I'm not old enough yet to drive a real motorcycle but I drive a scooter. you have to get your license for that in my country and I actually had like 4 hours of lessons. a lot of people get their license and think they can drive when they find out they don't. I only drive for a year now but I have driven in 35 degrees celcius, with really heavy rain, with storm, with snow and with ice. I had to find out everything myself which was quite dangerous. I found it really weird that I got my license in the second busiest city of my country and that they never told me to stay on the sides at traficligths, to not drive in the centre of the lane and to go easy in corners with rain because the lack of grip. the most deadly accidents happen on scooters and now I know why.

#3 is total Fudd BS. Ride where it's the most safe for the situation. I crashed once because the ATF fluid dumped by a car at the stoplight, pooled in the wheel tracks in the asphalt. If I had been to the side of the rut, I'd have been ok. But that's lower grip, too. You _must_ be aware of the lane quality and the reaction time you can buffer by the threats ahead of you (left, right, oncoming)

The worst place I found to be in the center of the lane is at stop lights and toll booths. I nearly dropped a bike at a toll both when I lost rear tire traction because there was so much oil/fluids built up in that area and the rear tire just spun. The other reason I avoid the center track on a lane is it reduces your escape route/s. If your directly centered behind the car in front of you there is no where to go if the car behind you decides not to stop.

I think a major issue that is holding back the release is that fact that the current Hilux is still selling in record numbers. Just look at data rom Feb 2024 sales increased 11.8% from Feb 2023.

I prefer the current model, it’s narrow the new one model likely to be wider puffed up body. I think most tradies will switch to 79 with the 2.8.

It might be a 10 year old car but what is has over a new one is R&D and time to improve and fix bugs and refine pieces of the car that were broken or aren’t preforming properly This isn’t a pro Toyota thing but look at all cars the first few years of a new platform are normally the worst ones Saying that 10 years is a long time and need a new entire platform come on Toyota make a new Ute at some point
