We used to not have an income tax because of tariffs. Tariffs are good.

@@BALBES4000 yeah what's your point tariffs were great. We didn't have to pay the government money because the government was making so much money with tariffs. Meaning we kept our hard earned money and the government made their own money. We used to have surplus and now we have a huge deficit which system worked better.
@BALBES4000
@BALBES4000 17 күн бұрын
@@jacobfrazier4351 you clearly don't know how tariffs work, companies pass the added cost onto consumers. Our tax system is progressive a tariff would generate less tax overall and significantly hurt the middle class. Regardless of the 684000 (per the tax foundation) jobs that would be lost because of it and the massive inflation it would cause. The deficit would grow under tariffs not shrink...

@@BALBES4000sure in the short term. But long term manufacturing would be moved to America, more jobs, would be created, exports would increase and it would grow the gdp. It's also a good way to protect American companies from outside competition. That's why the Harris administration put some of the heaviest tariffs on Chinese electric car manufacturers we have ever seen. Harris wants to complain about trump placing tarrifs but the left knows they can also be beneficial. It's just politics to try and convince you they're all bad.

This is not me saying that I support one candidate over the other, and tariffs are only one part of the right’s proposed slate of policies. But in most cases, I’m not an advocate for tariffs because they simply aren’t very effective at their intended goal. Letting the free market do its thing is usually a better idea.

@@nicktalksmoney we've got to stop this globalist garbage and stop relying on China and the only way to do that is make it too expensive to do business with China and start bringing the money back here

This sounds pretty partisan. You conveniently left off the part where Harris wants to tax unrealized gains which would decimate every part of the business world and collapse the economy. Don't be a hack.

So, basically, we’ve got a a candidate who wants to punish people for doing well financially, and another that wants to make the American people pay more money for imported goods. Wow, such _great_ options! Our government is screwed.

Pause you made a major oversight it’s not 6v5k it’s 6k for the first year with it returning to the standard thereafter and the Trump plan is a 5k increase throughout. Additionally you forgot about the Trump tax credits which are about to expire Kamala would likely not keep them Trump likely would

This is not me saying that I support one candidate over the other: just figured this would be an important video to make as someone that talks about money + someone who was a tax preparer for 4 years. Taxes are of course only one reason you’d choose to vote for a certain candidate, I urge you to become as informed as possible on their full slate of policy proposals and make your voting decision from there.

Okay $15k seems a bit too much (coming from the mindset of a warehouse worker) i feel referral bonuses are far worse because you cnst entice employees that damn well know you suck to force their coworkers who get nothing except the job excited to work more just "YOU HAVE TO WORK HERE FOR 3 MONTHS SO I, ME, NOT YOU, GET REWARDED FOR YOU WORKING" i told my corporate boss why not just a $1-3k bonus itll entice people to apply and stay they started trash talking about new employees and i was like damn, you guys dont want knew guys and im a new guy (i managed to get to $20 after about 2 months from $18 and now its at $21). I know hard work gets you rewarded if you have the right team and even though he trashed new employees i really miss him as a corporate lead we no longer have a corporate lead

Correction: Doctors in the US qualify for PSLF (Public service loan forgiveness). A neurosurgeon with 7 years of residency needs to work for only 3 more years or do some fellowship time and they’ll get their loans forgiven.

In any case "buying" should be phrased as paying all of it in cash which is what he is NOT talking about in this video. Buy all your cars cash and for the full amount. I know its hard but owning your car as soon as you buy it ( new/used) will free you up a ton of money in the long run

You forgot very key things about being a pilot. One, almost all airlines have 401k contributions around 15% ON TOP OF (not taken out) of your salary. That means by the time you retire you’ll have almost 8 digits in a 401k, on top of the $500k salary senior wide body captains earn (if you chose to fly wide body jets). Quality of life is also much better for pilots, considering they only work about 2 weeks out of a month or even less.

Find that ESA pays less than NASA but I was scared to be shot at randomly and maybe not be able to pay my healthcare. Hence why I chose ESA. PS: I don’t know anything about the imperial system is also a reason.
