It’s more common than you think, they normally land at commercial airports for training, cargo deliveries, dropping off military troops, etc.

For now its just their A350 that has the new livery, they might repaint their entire fleet to the new livery in the future

They still do "sometimes" it all just boils down if they're short on A220s, if there isn't enough to supply at LGA, they'll send some 717s to LGA, I uploaded a recent trip on a 717 from LGA to Chicago
