Hey buddy need some help , I have got a 2022 ktm 890 adv r , which is got in jan 2024 . But i dont think i need all that , now i like the t7 egine very smooth against the 890 engine which is diff not the same . is it worth selling the 890 and getting a used t7 ? my rides would be mostly road , local offroad trail nothing crazy
@SanFranciscoRiderrАй бұрын
it depends on what dollars you can get for ktm - if you can get good price and get a cheaper dependable used t7 then do it, you want to minimize your depreciation loss

I guess the screen affects people of different heights. being 5'6" the stock screen did create a noisy cockpit area. the suzuki touring screen is much nicer for me. still lets some wind through/around but that is welcome most days.it isnt blasting you, so its better than my previous naked bikes. seat - better than many stock ones I've had but.. I agree, it could be softer. if travelling a long way - get a sheepskin cover (on any bike). you wont regret it. I'd put a few things towards most commentators. mostly... take time to get used to it and see what its like "for what its designed for" 1. brakes. this is a sport touring bike. not a racing bike. my brakes are not as bitey as other bikes but there is plenty of stopping power. they are progressive not squishy. 2. gearing. most people have indicated it's too fast... or needs another gear etc. ride it between 4 and 7k and its cruisy and fun. above 7k and its got more than enough poke for most. 3. turn in is weird until you get used to how the bike works. particularly from a naked or sport bike. brakes and turn in set most people off when they first start. I find this bike a nice mix between my 1150rt and bandit. does the miles, is comfortable but batsh1t crazy when I want to have fun.

Great job on getting to 8K. I have the V4S. You can manually adjust the dynamic suspension on the S model to dial it in. Like you I chose the SF over the Panigale. It’s a great bike! Enjoy and safe riding.

For me the SFV4s in grey/nero won 🥇 I didn’t lie the red on the SF, preferred it in the Pani 🤔 Anyhow, I’m done with sports bike ergos. I like to be in the saddle 6+ hours a day. I CAN sit in the sport position that long, but, it’s horrendous. I’d never admit that in my 20s to the ‘brahs’ 😅 the SFV4 is just as fast (nothing matters approaching 300kmph anyhow 😂 ) the SF tuning make the torque so much better below 189kmph which is what you want on the street. The wind… meh I like wind… I have a car if I want a screen. Sure sitting at 270+ kmph it’s windy on the Sfv4 but how long do you honestly hold it there?!!! Even on a track it a few seconds.

I own a 13 concours14 and I’ve ridden an 07 fjr1300 a few times. To me the concours vs the early model fjr is better in every department. Transmission, clutch, suspension, riding position, and brakes are better in my opinion. Power out put is much stronger too. I haven’t ridden the 6 speed fjr yet to be fair.

Just bought the Connie and went on a tour down to the Bearstooth with 3 other guys on BMW, 800, 900, and a 1300S. The 800 was vibrating at 120 km, the 900 was uncomfortable at anything over 120 km and the seat was terrible, the 1300s was in the same league at speeds over 120km. However, the boys on the 800 and 900 did enjoy the twisties alot more than I did on the Bearstooth otherwise the Kaw just ate the miles up, fast and comfortable.

You made the right decision, I too considered both the Kawasaki 1000 SX vs the Suzuki GSX S 1000 GT Plus. I also researched them both and also found the Suzuki GSX S 1000 GT Plus to be the best value , and best looking as well as the better bike of them both . The best bang for the dollar. I also compared the Yamaha Tracer 900 gt plus as well and found it to have too much Technology in it and not as sleek either.

@isaacu4fun3 ай бұрын
His point is 100% accurate, the pegs, bars, rider triangle feel great, however the seat feels like it’s made of plastic sculpted to look like a motorcycle seat. Definitely needs more cushion.

6th gear on multi is peppy and racy and wants to rev (similar to sportsbikes) vs say nc750 or ktm superduke where 6th gear is low revs and not as punch as the mutlistrada 6th gear - overall i like the 6th gear on multistrada

Nice bike my friend, I have exactly the same one. I’m also thinking of changing the seat to the ‘high’ seat. I have a question for you: On the original seat, I feel a slight slope towards the front that makes me slide towards the tank and ‘pulls the skin of my buttocks back,’ which becomes uncomfortable and even painful after more than an hour of riding. I was wondering if the high seat has a more neutral/horizontal slope? And is it really more comfortable?
@SanFranciscoRiderr3 ай бұрын
the high seat does is more horizontal and neutral. Its only about 50% more comfortable than stock seat. i feel the padding is stiff and stiffer than the regular seat, not as comfortable as my streetfighter seat. if the padding was less stiff i would have given it a higher score, i can live with the improvement now, not 100 percent satisfied but ok with small-med improvement
@pierre-lessard3 ай бұрын
@@SanFranciscoRiderr Thanks for the response, I appreciate it. Glad to know it’s more horizontal, I will order it today. A new seat with firmer padding can take a few rides to ‘break in’ and shape itself, it will probably get better over time, but even if it’s 50%, I’ll take it.
@stuyrides51444 ай бұрын
I went from the Ninja 1000sx to the Suzuki GT. The Suzuki is so much better, less rider aids so it's more of a riders bike. The wooden brake, ignore what people say. It's not true. It's a perfectly adequate break. If you really want to upgrade it, just put some braided hoses on and it's absolutely fine. This seems to be the only thing that people moan about is the wooden break. This is all because I keep hearing it on social media. Don't get me wrong. The Kawasaki is still a good bike, but the Suzuki just thrashes it.
