How long does a blade like that last? And what type of blade is it?
@jepsonpowerinc
@jepsonpowerinc Жыл бұрын
Hello, this is our carbide tipped Ø 355 mm / 90T saw blade (ref. 600570). It is always difficult to answer how long a blade lasts since it is heavily dependant on the experience of the user, the material, angle, etc. An experienced user cutting a 50x50x2 mm square steel tube should usually get around 500 cuts out of the saw blade.

That's pretty slick what blade where you using? Because we have a hard time cutting aluminum on a cold saw.

Not suitable for panel cutting at all. What if you don't need to cut both skins? What if the panel is 250mm? Rubbish. Buy a makita or Dewalt evo circ. Adjustable depth, universal blades,

@@robneill1157 Dear Rob, the cutting depth of our machine is easily adjustable, so only cutting one skin is not a problem. The machine is of course not suitable for 250mm panels, so if you are working with these measurements often, the machine may not be for you. Makita or Dewalt do not have metal cutting circular saws with a comparable cutting depth and the woodworking machines produce far more dust, a worse cutting surface and have a lower cutting life per blade when cutting these panels.

@@jepsonpower5102 dewalt, Makita, Milwaukee and even ryobi make a metal saw that cut at least 50mm, that's more than enough to cut through any panel. The roughness of the cut would not be an issue as the cuts are only ever used in corners, so they are always covered by a 2 part coving or a metal internal trim. This saw may be useful in a manufacturing setting but in my opinion wouldn't be suitable for site use. (15 years site experience with insulated panel)
