I donated for these and now my Squier plugged into my computer sounds better than my fishman fluences through my normal amp LOL (and the normal amp is actually a pretty expensive one - one of the blackstar tube amps). Okay, not 100% better, but man, I would definitely use it on a recording.

that lead tone was very good, I still havent find a simulation that sound as good as those amp heads

Hi Emil, I just got one of these JVM's and I can't get it up and running. I'm using it without a cabinet but Idk if that hurts the head or not. I have warmed the valves up for about 1 hour today and yesterday to get rid of the humming in case.

Heyy mate! How would you compare the V with the JP2C for metal? Seems like people usually prefere the jp, isn't the V a bit more tight with a more agressive attack? less low end... that's kind of what I hear from youtube recordings. Personally, I own a IV and a V. I would consider a JP some day.. or a VII, but they are not available here :/
@Rohbemusic5 күн бұрын
Hey! I would say you can get really close to the jp with the v, maybe most so in iv mode. I dont have my v anymore, much more prefer the jp over it, I never got along with the weird midrange thing. I absolutley love my iv. A iv and a v you are pretty much covered. The jp is more old school ofcourse since its based on a 80s amp and the v is more modern. Whatever you do, dont sell the iv because no one of the v, jp or vii cant do that sound! Good luck 👍
@ceniam125 күн бұрын
@@Rohbemusic Sure! Definitely keeping the IV, I'm using it for my album right now and it's just amazing. I really like the V as well and find it very different to the IV, yet awesome as well. I did use it for some other recordings and sounded great, maybe more invasive in the mix though, it was harder to make it fit than the IV. Hope I can try a JP and a VII one day and choose by myself the one I prefere! (Or probably keep them all haha)

What a useful video. I just bought a TA-15 last week and it’s excellent for home, even without an attenuator. I’ve used Fender amps for 45 years, so this amp is amazing.

Nice playing and YJM vibes man , youre convincing me to buy a JVM lol ... played an ADA mp1 3tm for years, superb preamp. Got a 6505 its good but not as articulate for leads as the ADA .... Thinking of the JVM now as it has good clean and articulate leads ....

One question Bro, how many dBu are these captures, for example I have another pack that specifies that it was Captured at 11.4dBu, and that helps me give the imput gain to the interface

Most of the most famous plexi players did NOT use a tubescreamer…!!! Players who did not use a tubescreamer with their plexi -Angus young -Jimi Hendrix -Eddie Van Halen ( though Eddie did use a graphic EQ but I don’t know if he added mids and cut bass with it ) -Eric Johnson ( he did have a TS9 for a couple years about ten years ago ) - think of all the players before 1980 when the tube screamer came out that did NOT have a tube screamer It was mostly the jCM 800 users that used a tube screamer.. to get more gain You can do what a tube screamer does with a bunch of different pedal and or EQ’s A tube screamer cuts bass and adds mids So it can solve the woofiness a 4x12 cabinet can create , the mid hump can too much so that’s where an EQ can be helpful.. fender amps tend to be mid scooped and too bassy , hence SRV famously using one or two

The powerbank caps are in seriel-parallel ( like in the similar fender amps). They should be able to take 2*315V = 630 V ( minus 10 % = 567 V) . If you mount an extra speaker, for 2 in series ( 16 ohms), the output transformer will be happy with the 2 6l6's you chose to use - instead of 4. Best Regards

I don' t know why, but this amp seems to not have caught on. Does that seem correct? I really don't hear much about them anymore. I have it with the 4x12 cab and there are very few amps anywhere near as good. Great Video by the way.

I cant tell a thing about this amp. Turn the reverb off. It sounds like ass the way it's run.
