Love your builds!! Just found your channel. Great vibes! Also, you could name your horse Lux cause it kinda ties in with the lighthouse seeing as how you found it in the same episode, but also sounds kinda baller which matches the diamond horse armour.

I believe that the "halls" and "rooms" are really meant to be streets and houses. Which would make the central staircase more like a central tower. My idea is that whole ruin was once above ground but layers were piled up over centuries making it buried underground. Your interpretation is till cool though

interesting take! i could see how thatd be the case that its more communal; itd make the multiple 'wells' have more of a purpose. and lets face it, mojang wasnt thinking about a family owned pottery business when they built the ruins :) theres certainly more evidence for your idea!

This is lovely! I like that you built the story around the pieces of ruins you found, and then decorated the ruins on the foundation of your story. it's all intertwined and very creative!

"This room reminded me of...Germany;" I had a very different interpretation of where that thought was going -- especially as I originally interpreted the room as a kiln room. I was like, "Damn...that's dark. Is that really where you want to go with that?" "Because of the German flag." "Oh-hoooh....yeah, we were thinking something different there; carry on." I'm not an ASMR guy, but that dual-click block replacement in bulk and sped up really does something for me, something akin to rain, I think.

oof i was not thinking of that interpretation at all o.o good to know abt the sounds though, maybe i should keep them in more! i exported them because i thought they sounded cool and I'd cut them out later, but i got so used to hearing them in the edit that i forgot about that other section. maybe it was for the best then :) thanks for your comment <3

@exnoh_ And thanks for the video. I like the reconstructions and interpretations. That's why I'm following Daskalos now to see how the Ancient City turns out. Almost done, in fact. I think watching him is where I started realizing I liked the sound. There was also some other builder who puts weird distraction videos on the sides during long sped up build stretches; I forgot who, but he had those videos like the game ads that come on during YT vids. I'm not a, "satisfying to watch," kind of person, but similar to the sound thing, somehow, I do find it more enjoyable to just watch the build. Keep up making the great videos.

I love this! Weaving the buildings together in a cohesive story is wonderful. The restoration itself is also beautiful. One thing I always thought about the ruins is that they used to be at ground level, but the land buried them over time. You’ve honestly inspired me to restore a trail ruin my way! Amazing video as always <3

The rickety lighthouse is so cute!! I love its cobbled together and almost falling apart look. Since lighthouses are always on the coast, and the coast doesn’t typically have dense forests or large mushrooms, that could be why it looks better without those things! Maybe some large rocks could enhance the area if you’re looking for terraforming? Also, perhaps Gerard? I am not biased at all; what is a chemical romance and why is it mine?

Ex “trying to take things slow” noh coming back to a starter base, full enchanting table, nether portal, zombie farm, slime farm, and a ton of fish: I’m loving the starter base! The fishing dock is unique and adorable! The chests in the trial chamber are meant to deposit extra items, while the barrels have the loot. Best of luck with the next ominous trial!

I think you nailed it. What I don’t understand is how you can take a source material that has generated SO much beautiful, emotional, inspiring fan content and suck all the life out of it. It doesn’t even make sense to me from a market standpoint. They’ve literally been handed multiple blueprints- the Fallen Kingdom saga, Minecraft’s update videos, even SMP storylines- of Minecraft centric content that does INCREDIBLY well online, and they’ve thrown it all out the window. Like, you have the audience’s preferences laid out for you. You have a guaranteed audience of millions that has already made their choices in media consumption known, and to ignore that seems kind of dumb to me? I don’t know. I know I’m hyperfixating on that one market choice- it’s the marketing major in me- but I can’t understand why they would deliberately go in a direction that no one has been asking for.

great point. if they were interested in making something the community would connect with, they have perhaps the most amount of research and statistics of what people would enjoy compared to any other game with minecraft being so continuously popular. it clearly wasnt a priority

Thank you so much for checking out Lightroot! It means alot. It's not really too packed with content because I made it for a modjam, and just re-colored some of the assets from my other mod, glowroot, (which I also advise checking out.) Nonetheless, it means alot, and thank you for showcasing it here! The contents great, and I'd love to see more!

How does the button work in this build? Im trying to build this in a java world and its missing something?

the button powers the repeaters in the top mail circuit which causes the circuit to fire. maybe check if the repeaters are facing the right way (towards the back) or you have the redstone torches in the right place? let me know if ive misunderstood your question :)
