No WMD were ever found.. While I agree that Saddam needed to go, the terms in which it was done is shameful.. I can't fault the men and women that fought the war or made the ultimate sacrifice.. I fault the politicians that lied to the people, the UN, and the world.. Shrub had two daughters that were military age.. I noticed that he used the sons and daughters of others to fight his personal war.. Saddam also had no connection to 9/11... It needs to be noted that Shrub also started the Afghan war.. He never captured or killed Osama Bin Laden.. He created the black site know as Gitmo which was used to torture people, many of them innocent of any wrong doing and had not connection to Osama or 9/11.. Shrub and company should have been charged with war crimes for the treatment of prisoners at Gitmo, and illegally starting a needless war.. Shrub also never put the two wars in his budget, instead left that for Obama to cover so conservatives could bark about his spending and raising the debt.. Also it was Obama that actually got Osama Bin Laden, in Pakistan.. Intelligence gathered without torturing people.. Not to mention without starting a war... I bring all this up as people need to remember the context in which the Iraq and Afghan wars happened.. Oh, Shrub also gave tax cuts to the rich totaling 320 billion over 10 years.. An estimated 8 trillion by fiscal year 2023.. Which also exploded our national debt, after taking office with a budget surplus handed to him by Clinton..

I WAS IN KINDERGARDEN when this war started, i LIVE IN CANADA and I grew up during it, heard about it, but until now (24 years old) I understand how wild this war was, how illegal it was, how CRAZY SADDAM WAS, THE BLACK WATER AMBUSH, THE BLACKWATER MASSACRE IN NASSOURI SQUARE, ABU GRAIB, ETC. I BEEN WATCHING SOME CRAZY VIDEOS OF COMBAT FROM THIS WAR ON REDDIT AND I GOTTA SAY I HAD NIGHTMARES JUST FROM THE VIDEOS, NOW IMAGINE BEING IN FREEAKING FALLUJAH THAT TIME...CRAZY...ALSO THIS WAR WAS JUST VERY VERY POORLY EXECUTED AND COULD HAVE GONE WELL...BUT IT DIDN'T, I MEAN SADDAM WAS NOT A GOOD GUY..IM SURE THAT DUDE HAD TO GO, THE HORROS I HEARD OF HIM IS WILD. THE IRAQI PEOPLE WERE HAPPY AT FIRST, COALITION FORCES SHOULD HAVE KEPT IT THAT WAY, TAKE OUT SADDAM, WRITE A NEW CONSTITIUTION, ETC. BUT THEY ENDED UP CREATING ISIS, AND MORE INSURGENTS, PUTTING US AND IRAQI CIVILIAN LIVES AT RISK. IM NO PRO, BUT AFTER 2-3 DAYS OF IRAQI WAR MOVIES, DOCUMENTARIES, AND REAL COMBAT FOOTAGE., I STILL DONT KNOW WHERE IT WENT WRONG...I REPEAT SADDAM HAD TO GO..DUDE LITERALLY CREATED A GENOCIDE OF HIS OWN PEOPLE KILLING 100K+, AND HIS TORTURTE TECHNIQUES TO PREGNANT WOMEN, INNOCENT MEN, ETC. WERE BEYOND SICKENING, BUT THESE PRIVATE MILITARY CONTRACTOS LIKE BLACKWATER, AND EVEN SOME US MILITARY MEN LIKE THE ONES WORKING IN ABU GRAB RUINED THEIR TRUST WITH THE IRAQI PEOPLE. I MEAN ONCE YOU START TORTURING THE PEOPLE YOUR SUPPOSED TO SAVE, MAKE THEM RUB POOP ON THEMSELVES, WATER BOARD A DUDE WHO WAS JUST SLEEPING IN HIS HOUSE LIKE 2 HOURS AGO...YEAH THAT'LL MAKE PEOPLE HATE YA..I THINK I MAY HAVE JUST ANSWERED MY OWN QUESTION OF "WHERE IT WENT WRONG", IT WENT WRONG WITH SOME BAD APPLES IN THE MILITARY AND THESE PRIVATE CONTACTORS. I'll never forget my deployment to Iraq from 06-07 with F.co 215th 1st calvary division from Fort Hood Texas.

7 day convoy. No sleep. People falling asleep while driving. Vehicle rollovers into ditches and me driving a HEMMT fueler with 2500gallons of jp8. Shit was crazy. In front of the combat units...behind them, massive mess.

I am currently an American Soldier and I watch these in pain and anguish... kids.. on both sides. The troops that are younger than 23 and the iraqi kids that are the same age and younger... all because there was an assumption that WMDs existed in Iraq. So many young die for old fool's ideals... And many are starting to see it nowadays...
