Have you ever considered that maybe there are people in lraq that are both pro and anti Saddam/Ba’ath party? I would encourage to look up photos of Saddam’s statue coming down, about half of the peopIe standing in the square were American soldiers and journalists. There was a level of trick photography applied, they kept the cameras zoomed in to create the illusion that the square was jam packed full of peopIe. If you zoom the camera out there actually weren’t that many people there. Only about 20% of the square had people in it, the rest was empty. There’s a video titled “The Toppling: How the Media Created the Iconic Fall of Saddam’s statue”. It covers this in-depth.
