Pretty good ranking!! Sonic three and the platform were my most excited release of 2024 buuuut The substance is definitely my favorite release and don’t move was an awesome watch

I am a die hard fan of the original with Brandon I also own city of angels, Salvation and wicked preyer and I love those for there uniqueness and different stories. I went and picked up this exact steel book from Walmart today and I am overjoyed I went and saw this with my girlfriend in the theaters, and I am a huge diehard fan of the Brandon Lee Crow I even have a Crow bird tattoo inspired by it, and I really loved this movie with Bill Skarsgård. 😃 I also own the Walmart exclusive 4K steel book of the Brandon Lee Crow that was released.

Yeah this movie was so great, I watched it on cable or something as a kid and it wasn’t until recently that I discovered it was Trick or Treat! Totally agree with you on the short run time being its only flaw, but that’s a harsh description from even me, It’s a great horror movie and immaculately edited. Can’t wait to see what you have out now that spooky season is done! I’d love to see some super hero’s movies

@@CinemaCabinet The original is great but the other Michael Myers sequels are all pretty dismal -- how many times do we need to see the guy walking around stabbing people -- and why does no one ever move away from Haddonfield? I actually got a kick out of Halloween Ends because it was fun to laugh at the ridiculousness of the script (e,g., the doctor has a pool that's still open in Haddonfield IL at the end of of October? and the nurse he's banging addresses him as "Doctor" at his house?!). Season of the Witch is the most entertaining -- who cares about Michael Myers when there's a great John Carpenter score and Dean Cundey is still the DP.

Watching this film made me realize that I misunderstood the first movie. This was never about Joker. It was always about Arthur, he is the real protagonist. I don't think Philips cares that much about Joker. I think he sees Arthur as an opportunity to do a tragedy about mental health, social decay, media obsessions and abuse. I think the film is more concerned with exploring the humanity and ultimate fragility of media famous serial killers who are deep down disturb left behind individuals with no real power or much agency. And what we the audience make of them than with anything that even resemblances the actual DC distrub criminal mastermind it's supposed to be about. It's an Arthur Fleck saga of the road to a senseless death not a Joker origin story. It's not a deeper exploration of DC and never was, it was always a completely different commentary on DC drag.

I watched The Fly for the first time over the weekend. Im a sucker for practical effects and I loved it. Seeing Brundle's slow transformation up until he fully becomes Brudlefly is super cool and gross. Great video man!

@@Just_anotherfan Nothing really pulled me out, there has to be scenes that aren't all like they have come from a TB theme park. There was SO much amazing TB work in this. All his films have some sort of real world grounded sequences, that's what makes the dreamlike and gothic stuff really pop out. even the dialogue and the characters had a real early TB vibe to them. Id be interested to know what bits took you out of it though!

I think it’s a good sequel for beatlejuice, but it’s not good work from Tim Burton. You must be verrry easy to please, while I enjoy most of the second one there is no. Way. It’s better than the original
