I remember you were having trouble keeping caridina shrimp what did you change or did differently? I feel like I been having trouble keeping them and they are slowly dying.

@pepscotty i only feed once or twice a week. I have a video about month or 2 back where I go into detail about how I got them doing good.

@lj4160 less than ideal, but worked out good using Stability. Did give it 4 to 6 weeks before putting lots of shrimp in.

I love my snowball Neos!! They're so cute and they're as good or better IMHO than Amano shrimp at eating algae and keeping a planted tank super clean! I pull hair type algae out of my natural light tanks all summer to feed to my snowball colony as a treat. ✌️

Few females and a few males popped up. I stashed them into a guppy tanks about 4 years ago. Been actively line breeding them out the last couple years. Didn't do anything other than line breed culls

i'm sure you maybe answered this down the road in pervious video's but do you use any fertilizer for the tanks and the moss in them? And, how to you give calcium to the shirmp

My water is hard and has all the minerals plants need. The food I feed is the NPK. I do weekly water changes and feed every day in neo tanks.. i have used fertilizers in the past and can get more difficult plants to grow, but that's not ideal for the shrimp, so I quit fertilizing and stick with plants that do good in my water without ferts.

@btebay141 picking the best moss for your water. I tried several, this one I got as pilo did way better than any other I tried, so stuck with it. I aint nerding out with plants, just needed a moss that did good for breeding shrimp, now I'm a moss farm on the side lol.

I started with 1 pregnant Blood Merry shrimp. I now definitely have close to 2 hundred of them. In my 4 gallon tank. Last batch I had a lot of yellow shrimp took them out and got another batch of yellow. So weird…..

@ramonortega9194 that's odd. Might wanna keep the best 20 or so and start over. The more generations deep you get from the original breeders the more mutations will pop up.
