Keith always had/ has an element of "classical "technique in his purely improvised playing . He is often so emotionally clear and therefore he translates those feelings to the listener really effectively and efficiently.

RIP Lou Reed, I was just thinking about him, because I have been obsessed with the Raconteurs Steady As She Goes & the Jim Jarmouch directed video, it reminds me of the Little Willie’s song “Lou Reed”, my favorite line is Nora’s line “like Fellini”, and her old boyfriend sings, “no, more like Jim Jarmoush”…and I love Tom Waits❤❤❤❤❤❤I kept misspelling Waits, lol, oops. Bumbershoot was incredible, it was Labor Day weekend for 30-40 years, but they brought this dickhead in to manage Bumbershoot, because of his terrible decisions, Bumbershoot went under immediately, sadly, I watched it happen, because we used to Volunteer there sometimes and I kept getting ridiculous emails from the dickhead, as I’m certain everyone did, he ruined a fantastic music festival, not just one festival, also Folklife in May, Memorial Day Weekend, both are no more…

Oh I can’t wait to see this video!!❤ How did you get Lou Reed? We were so lucky, we saw Lou Reed in 2002, at Bumbershoot in Seattle, our kids grew up seeing great musicians in concert all the time, because we have great music festivals up here, Lou was the headliner that night, we actually didn’t know who would be at Bumbershoot that year. Lou was touring for his last album, all the songs were dedicated to Edgar Allen Poe. When he did Walk On The Wild Side, I supplied the Doo Doo Doo Doos, for all the colored girls!! We held our youngest son on our shoulders so he could see.

🙏 for this video collaboration, esp since you included the info on the songs, artists, and albums they are on! I’m 70ish, and before today had never heard of ‘Mansion’ - a 💟 song by Bruce. Now I need to find that album so I can save it 🥰!

Just learned here that the great man had passed away. RIP; one of my favorite pianists - but where to fit them all, Horowitz, Rubinstein and others? Loved Pollini playing Mozart. He aged so gracefully. His face said he had seen a lot of life, including the downside, but his eyes said he held out hope for the human race.
