Question, what's the protocol for retrieving your safety reel after finding your lost line? Or how do you leave that line?

I think some things could be improved, - The first loop should be bigger. - You should use your boltsnap instead of your pocket to secure your finger spool - It would be safer to secure the line with two or three knots before cutting it. - It would be nice to make a loop on your finger spool before cutting the line so, when cutting the line, your spool is ready to use again an can be easily locked with it's boltsnap. Nice video thoug.

*Its fine. No complaints!>>>**nub.best/ep6v** Just realize that you have to remove about 20-30ft (off of the 100ft spool) in order to expose enough of the holes to clip onto. So you end up with about 70ft. Thats fine since the 100ft spool was cheaper than the 75ft spool anyway.*

How come your belt buckle is left hand release and not under your crotch strap?
@andibk100
@andibk100 5 жыл бұрын
Yes the belt buckle should be a right hand release. And yes I do put the crotch strap over the belt buckle when diving. That is a normal habbit for me when kitting up and diving, not so much when just videoing on land.

The low pressure inflator hose that I am using right now is 8 inches long. I am using the apeks first stages and the lp hose is coming out of the top.

Thanks for the Video Bruce. At the end of the Video kzbin.info/www/bejne/jmaxnn2slph7lbcm36s you put the string through the hole. Is this just for storage purposes and you will have to undo it when you want to use the buoy?
@andibk100
@andibk100 7 жыл бұрын
I find when putting the line through the hole at the very end helps it keep the line tight and keeps it from unspooling. Yes that is basically for storing the reel. When I go to deploy the reel and lift bag I unclip the bolt snap from the line and pull the line through the hole.

Sorry for hte late reply I never received the message. Yes I feed it through the hole and then clip the clip onto it. This helps keep the line from coming loose.

What do you use for bottom clip? Paracord?
@andibk100
@andibk100 7 жыл бұрын
For the bottom clip on the tank I normally just use a short piece of rope.

Bruce Konefe ok. What length would you start with? Bolt snap up against the cam band?
@andibk100
@andibk100 7 жыл бұрын
The size of the bolt snap would depend if I was using gloves when I diving or not. IF using gloves you would need a larger bolt snap, the smaller bolt snaps are just to hard to use when you have gloves on. The rope has a knot tied in the one end which helps keep the rope from being pulled through the cam bank and the medal holder. The length that is sticking out the other end is is probable about 1 inch long. I do not have one here with me so I am just guessing on the length. Some people like the length to be longer then others making it easy to grab and handle. Everyone is a bit different, What matters in the end is the positioning of your tanks when they are on you. What works for one person may not work for another. There are other things to consider is if you are using a sliding d rings on your harness or if you put d rings that are stationary. If you are using stationary d rings on your harness the length of the rope will matter more.

Bruce Konefe thank you mine is about an inch. I'm doing some self learning before I jump into the classes. I'm running the sms100 that Edd Sorenson just got done modding.
