Somewhere around 1970-71, there was a Toyota car commercial on television which showed a Toyota driving around a lake in early autumn which appeared to be New England northeast. But it actually could have been around Big Bear Lake, just outside of Los Angeles. The topography and flora of Big Bear resembles that of the Upper Midwest and Northeast. The background tv commercial song was a tune sung by a male/female chorus going, "Come run with me. Come face the everlasting sun with me. The winds of autumn are but one with thee. Run with me, run with me, run with me now....." I do not know if Copper Nickel was the original group that sung the tv commercial song. It was not a complete song. But later on Copper Nickel did come out with a complete song rendition of, "Come Run With Me". Yet at the time it did not garner any publicity or even AM radio station airtime as far as I recollect. Copper Nickel sold a CD over the Internet well over ten years ago which includes, "Come Run With Me." Copper Nickel, while a talented band, sadly never achieved great fame status, which was a great loss.

I and Gary Loizzo wrote this song in 1970 and no permission was given to record this.

Ricky does a better job with this song in the movie Wackiest ship in the army. This version sounds too honky tonk and the tempo is too fast. You can hear Rick's other version on YT

One of the all-time great fade-outs. Mitch sounds like he's having a very painful hernia as he screams "ONE MORE TIIIIIIIIIIIIME!!!" Killer stuff, man. 3+ minutes of pure raucous joy, the cure-all for whatever ails ya.. hernias included. lol

How many fans out there who would have liked it if Twiggy had to sing this song at The Boar’s 🐗 Nest to simply pay off the fine on a speeding ticket fine in Hazzard County?!
