Congrats on your new system! I hope it'll be fun. Doesn't really matter but the system here is put upside down, heat rises so the exhaust fans should be at the top of the case, but its such a power efficent system that it'll probably makes no real difference. It's a shame that case is designed so that the power button and front i/o ports are at the bottom instead of the top, seems way less convenient to me than how you have it setup here.

I remember having a different demo from some magazine coverdisk, but can't remember the mag name or locate any other demo versions than this. It apparently was made on a newer game engine that already had the sidestep move and the cheat passwords as did the final game.

1200€ is a bit steep for just the board, IMO. For around 500, I'd think about it. But for what is essentially a nerd toy, nope.

It is pricey, but it has to be calculated in the fact that this board isn't a mass production 1000000000 unit build, so with that cost is high, but im ok with that, ive always supported a-eon! almost a decade ago, i didn't have 2 nickles to rub together, so for me, it's a dream come true. And a bucket list item, my next buy will be the x5000! My total cost was $1500 with the Amiwest discount for the ready to run system!

Looks good! Shame you cant get a RAM stick in RED PCB to match the Motherboard, be good to see how well the system runs classic Amiga games using the OS4.1 inbuilt emulation

I really hope arm will be the future for amiga. Cheap, modern chips with power and all the modern stuff. I hope that devs will be arm becouse it is the future. PPC and 68k chips are dead like 20-30 years and there will never be new chips. Arm is the futire or no future. Join the rebellion agaist the ppc barons that still protect there chips from 30 years ago

Great vid. "What keeps me passionate about the Amiga?" For me it would probably it's openess. It's kinda like how I feel about Linux these days. The Amiga gave users the freedom to tap into its capabilities and exploit the heck out of it to realise your creative ambitions without too many limitations. As a late teenage/20 something kid living under the rule of your parents, having access that kind of power and freedom was a really liberating feeling and experience. Lightning in a bottle baby.

I just got one also, and its one of my god machines. I paid through the nose for it, but nothing is broken and it even comes with the bag, you can put the keyboard and power cable in. For those in OZ, we used to make our Mum, take us to Myer Melbourne, when we were 13-14 year old, just so we could see this great machine. I can't believe i finally have one!

@m4dh4dd3r general manager of all northern california walmarts said this right to my wife, so it's 110% facts. Why do you think the shelfs are so depleted and never restocked, bestbuy, sam Club , all the same hurting for physical games. Soon, there will be none.

@m4dh4dd3r people are mad that the PS5 Pro is $700 with no CD drive, but at the end of the day, this is the very Model Sony wants pure control with the only option is DLC, now im sure the game makers will still drop physical games, but if Microsoft and Sony have their hands in it DLC is the new way! I like having shelf queens 👸 nothing like sitting back and looking at my collection. All that hard work in game hunting is my rush, i just hope we dont see a full-blown DLC furure!!!

Most of these games aren't good, backward compatible, and owning them when you aren't gonna play them. Don't add any value to your life. So cool, your lady bout a bunch of garbage that'll sit on your shelf as you complain that the PS5 has no games. This was a not a good haul, all these games are trash.

@GhettofingerGaming I can respect that you acknowledge that these are bads games, not worthy of collecting but to complete the console collection is a noteworthy goal. I think the most sought-after PS5 games will be the exclusives and it doesn't seem that Sony is even into making them anymore. Overall, I'm dissatisfied with the Sony product and was expecting more compelling and interesting titles for this generation.
