Wood pallets are cheaper and easy to make and repair. They are also biodegradable. Boxes do not slip on wood pallets. Plastic pallets are expensive and can’t be repaired when damaged or cracked. Ask forklift drivers which are the strongest pallets and they will consistently say wood pallets.

I wanted to like the Panther. But I had to return it. At least 50% of all of my pallets have a 3" opening. The lowest the Panther will go is 3.25". That extra quarter inch makes all the difference and makes the Panther useless for half of my skids. My salesman tried to contact the manufacturer who suggested "shaving the wheels down." Absolutely ridiculous that a company selling a $1k+ pallet jack doesn't have an intelligent solution for this problem. Why can't they just make 3" wheels like most normal pallet jacks have? So I returned the Panther and I'm about to buy a Dayton 32HD11. It also has rubber wheels. And it's significanty cheaper. And it lowers down to 2-15/16".

Horrible jacks... STAY AWAY FROM ION BATTERIES. First, doesn't have the counter weight.. Try to lift a 2000 pound pallet and go over a dock plate, IT WILL GET STUCK and wheels will spin in place and flatten and as a result you'll need to spend $500-$700 to replace the wheels. Also, they fail to disclose these ion batteries don't last in NON HEATED warehouses... So, if you are in FL, CA, TX, AZ you may be OK, but if you are in mid to northern states, in the fall, Winter and early spring, in a NON HEATED warehouse you'r screwed. Waste of money, don't bother with thees jacks, buy a good old style battery pallet jacks...

what if I told you, that's the slowest way to do it. Rotate 100°, de-clamp load, pull old pallet out (by hand), put the new pallet in (also by hand), re-clamp load, rotate back to 0°
