There was no good reason to have the music do loud. Plus, it was totally ridiculous to have it playing over the reading. Especially when the reading could have been put on pause. Or rewind to replay what was missing. Big Thumbs Down!

In this book Charles is sometimes acting more like Agatha. I mean as far as the detecting goes. IMO

Penelope Keith has narrated books and is my favorite 🤩. This person is okay though.

This is so wonderful because I can't afford to buy all the audible books I would like to buy. I like to read but sometimes at nigit's comforting to hear somebody read a story. It's also really entertaining. And I enjoy the audio books just as much as I enjoy a regular mystery on television. Whoever does this, thank you?Because it's a real treat for all of us who love mysteries and like to get under the covers and listen to one at night. It's relaxing and helps you forget your troubles.❤

I can only say ditto to @philip! And if the musical interlude adds revenue, fantastic. Thank you so much for the audios. I love MC Beaton, and I very much enjoy. listening to your excellent readers. You make my mundane housework fly by! Hamish Macbeth and Agatha Raisin are two of my favorites! Thanks!

Love these audipbooks but unless, Agatha, pushes everyone around with dictarorial bossiness to get her own way, she's insufferably rude, intrusive a liar and as a battering-ram to get information on her crusade to solve a murder whilst getting more people murdered in the process of her bullish investigations. I would slam the door in her face! She's had a tough life so...❤❤❤❤

Why the loud piano music over the top of the narrative in two places? Couldn’t hear story properly. Great shame as was really enjoying it.

This reader is better than Penelope. Penelope gets too involved and begins to act out the parts and while some speech modulation is desireable, too much can get in the way. If the text reads "If only I'd visited Mum more before she died" said Joan" You don't want the reader to break down and sob into the microphone.

I have never read so many rude listeners. They should put their fingers to better use and take out their wallets let the moths go free and pay for the book at their local book store🎉. I for one would like to say thank you for all your time that this take putting it together. Loved it

The British always have a negative view of everything and everyone. They don't understand about God, and it's very apparent. So sad.
