This is a great walk with great views across the Channel. Don't knock those establishments which don't take electronic payments. I always make sure I carry enough cash as you never know when you'll encounter this situation. My son ended up covering for his cashless colleagues recently on the Camino de Santiago. See also Cloudmoney by Brett Scott (2022) for reasons why we should maintain the cash system of payments.

Hello, thanks so much for watching. I came across it quite accidentally but immediately thought it sounded right up my street and thought I could try to do it before anyone else did on KZbin. Unfortunately it took me over 2 months to edit it! Anyway, I'm going to look into this book, thank you for the recommendation. Cheers!

Hi KP, have just discovered your channel. Very timely too as I’m off to complete the NDW soon starting at Boughton Leas. You’re right to be cautious of cattle. I always avoid them if possible and have, in the past, done long detours to do so. Really enjoy your filming and narration style. Keep walking!

Thanks for a great video! Canterbury is a fascinating place, likewise the Pilgrim's Way. Have you seen 'A Canterbury Tale'? It was filmed in 1943 around Canterbury, Chilham and several other local villages - it would be interesting to compare the 'then' and the 'now'!
@thekentishpilgrim5 ай бұрын
Hi kingmerry, thanks for the comment. I have seen A Canterbury Tale being the 'cinephile' I am and you're right, I could film a whole other video going to the locations from that movie and comparing them then to today. I always thought it was amazing they shot it in the middle of the war as well. I think Canterbury took quite a bit of damage during the blitz and it would have changed parts of the city significantly.
@kingmerry105 ай бұрын
@@thekentishpilgrim Thanks for the reply. A Canterbury Tale has some really interesting footage of the city just a year after the blitz, and before post-war planners had replaced some of the more damaged areas. Ironically, the scenes set in the cathedral had to be filmed on a sound stage, as the real cathedral had its stained glass windows in storage and was sandbagged for protection. Keep up the good work!
