Jeezuz! I once fell when the boat was upside down. Working on gluing the panels. I was standing on a 5 gal plastic bucket when it flew out from under me. Smashed my wrist and that was the second concussion. Guys on wooden boat forum suggested two pails and a plank. I sent a pic of one bucket on top of the other with a plank on top of that. They didn't get my sense of humour.

Yup, just finished making my list for fall projects. This weekend we have to replace our water pump on our inboard engine, go for a pump out and close the boat down for winter. It can’t happen fast enough for us, so stinking hot last summer we didn’t get shit done, working like maniacs these last four weeks, sheesh! Thanks Rick!
@MVSheKonАй бұрын
Yes fall is such a sad time having to put the toys away. Do you keep your boat in the water? Very few stay in the water here over the winter. Most marinas freeze up and you need bublers to keep the ice from sinking boats. Hope you're well. Take it easy. Cheers! Rick
@Nena84734Ай бұрын
@@MVSheKon well, got the water pump replaced just fine, first time we’ve ever done anything like that. Drove over to the marina and did our last black water pump out of the year. Yes we stay in our bay, we have a mooring ball that has been ours for decades. We just lift up the heavy ass hitch from 2 attachments connected to the boat and take off. The most nerve wracking part is driving up to the hitch and catching it and drop the ends into the hook connections on the boat. Proud to say we had no problem, we looked like pros and we are over 60, so yeah, still got it!!! It gets cold here but the lake doesn’t freeze. Thanks Rick, loved the primer paint, amazing how one continuous color changes everything!
@MVSheKonАй бұрын
@@Nena84734 we've never used a permanent mooring like that. One skill we'll have to learn if we venture outside our normal cruising areas.
