Nice video; you do cover the basics. 1 the darker color is not "Aye-gate". Others make that same mistake...it's "Ahh'-gutt" which is a very deep charcoal gray-black. Many people really don't understand what larger diameter rims gets you: an opportunity to have larger diameter brake discs...for better stopping. Smaller diameter rims allows you to get tires that are larger in diameter...less racing profile, so if you drive on rough, pot-holed roads, a 19" rim means a tire with more diameter = softer, more cushioned ride and less likelihood of damaging rims should you hit a pothole. Yes, the sport chrono package is nice, but it's $1200 and if gives your the small dial controller on the steering wheel, the 20-second "top-powered" launch control, so you don't have to take your eyes off the road and glance down at the console to almost get the same thing with the haptic-touch buttons. Getting 0.2 second quicker acceleration? Yes, but paying $1200 for it? Hmmm. The PASM and air suspension WILL make a significant difference in ride quality and handling. I don't know if torque vectoring is available in the basic or T models (it probably is) and it's suggested for real enthusiasts who will push this car harder than the average driver. Very nice job! Hey thanks for watching! I love the breakdown. I agree with the $1200 for sport chrono. It is a bit expensive but makes the driving experience more fun for me. The PASM is great and I would probably save PTV for the sportier cars such as 911 or 718 just because most daily drivers in a Macan may not be pushing the vehicle that hard. Over all great take.

Great video. Curious… when you have the mini map on the third digital part of gauges sometimes it shows the gas tank level and sometimes not? Why is that? I’ve heard that when you have the map in that gauge you can’t see the gas left but your video clearly shows that it can. Thanks

Hey thanks for watching! There are two navigation screens you can choose. One with mini map and one with just directions. My gas showed on the mini map screen because I was low on fuel and it was alerting me to fill up. Once I had an adequate amount of gas the indicator disappeared. On the second screen with just directions it will show fuel same as the other screen options. Hope this helps!

Skip the Macan it’s a Volkswagen and this is coming from a multiple Porsche owner. It’s the equivalent of the first 2.5L Boxster that first came out. It’s not even close to the feel of a Cayenne. Even the GTS Macan feels cheap to the base Cayenne and the resale value this guy knows nothing: check out your local Porsche dealer’s used car inventory and the bulk of it will be made up of Macans and that’s for a reason they are cheap.

The Macan base is definitely an entry point to the brand as all have VW DNA. If you are able to move up to at least an S model I agree you get much more from a performance perspective. As far as resale most luxury vehicles will take a big depreciation but the way you option the vehicle does have an impact on pricing. Just depends on what you’re looking for in a vehicle and willing to spend. I appreciate your insight and on the topic. Thanks for watching!

Yes we'd all like to have a Cayenne but we don't all have the budget for that, just saying skip the Macan is being a bit condescending. The Macan is a great car for what it is at that price point without adding expensive options, and is more desirable than the competition.
