I come back to this video every now and again. It speaks to some deep part of me, in words that I can't find.

1:48 I love how he asked Matt how far up they'd have to build the horse stack and he just raises his hand away like "No more please..spare me of this"

Came back to watch this after Brennan referenced it in his recent interview with Hank Green; with the context from that interview it becomes even more profound.

The moment it was no longer a bit was. "we should really break this down. Because it for sure gonna happen." Brennan was basically saying. "Matt. I'm not sorry."

i feel like this scene is missing that somewhat iconic tallison jaffe laughter. you know, the one you hear after "thats fair", "they were peoples canes and things" or "and it was the metric system"

I love this so much because his answer has a bit of a preamble where he's interrogating the question of "Why?" and I for sure thought on some level he was just leading to an answer of "Why not?" or something like that, something just implying that there doesn't need to be a reason because it doesn't matter that much... but for him to come back with "For me, my care for these people is primary," just broke me instantly. I should've known Brennan would never give a flippant rhetorical answer suggesting that whether or not you care doesn't matter.

I'm coming back here cuz I was thinking about this bit for some reasons and man this is as hilarious as ever. My favorite thing is Brennan carrying on with the utmost seriousness in the world, looking at Matt straight in the eyes while the man is literally DYING from laughter. He really wanted to finish him 🤣

So Marisha should've summoned Supernova first if Ed needed to be on the base of the 3 horse stack. The critical role team are definitely novice horse stackers. Surprised Brennan, being the consummate horse-stacking professional didn't pick up on this obvious issue ...
@adoragrayskull2 жыл бұрын
No cause marisha got on top of ed and the summoned supernova
@MarkArnoldMusic2 жыл бұрын
@@adoragrayskull that's true, though I was thinking if elden ring is the template for this, then a horse is summoned from the ground up, not drops from the sky. So supernova would appear in Eds place, and push Ed upwards. Game logic. Lol.

If that line had been said in any popular TV show it would have shaken through the nerd world like an earthquake and Mossbrow would have instantly become one of the most beloved characters around. I know for some this is just basic ethics 101 but the way Mossbrow says it just exemplifies the utter purity of goodness in him, what a profoundly moving statement that says everything you need to know about how this character thinks. Goddammit Brennan.
