Thank you so much Dr. My mom spent years suffering from MG. All the docs had her on for years was prednisone orally every day, poor thing. Her livelihood was reading , and she had all of the generalized symptoms of MG. Probably caused by stress from family living up near her for decades. She was from Cooperstown, NY area where I grew up until I turned 20 and moved to Florida! I pray it doesn't settle in me also! I was on statins for thirty plus years, then finally heard the truth and stopped taking, also had vaccines all of my life until I again heard the truth, unfortunately after 2 of the jabs in 2021, no more thank you! Thank you so much for all of the quality info you share with an audience that craves the truth and preventative measures.

No shit, everything you said is obvious. It’s Ophtalmologists eye butchers like yourself that caused me to develop VSS due to refractive eye surgery. It’s digusting that you’re in a profession that cuts peoples’ eye open for money. The pain and suffering Ophtalmologists have caused is digusting.

I disagree in part. My doctor told me carbs cause cataracts. He advised me to quit drinking sodas, and I have cut way back on those! Also, I want to know what other things we can do to prevent and/or heal cataracts. I don't want surgery!

Diabetes is a major risk factor, so yes it is best to cut back on simple sugars. Stay tuned for more info on cataracts!

Hi, I'm not sure if this helps at all but just thought I'd mention it, just in case. Both my mother and my aunt had cataract surgery. it only takes about 30 minutes, is done under local anaesthetic ( with a relaxant such as valium if you wish ) as a day case and there is no bruising or swelling and little to no discomfort post-sugery.

Hi Rani Ma'am, Three weeks ago, I was diagnosed with optic neuritis. I went to the ER, where I had an MRI, a lumbar puncture, and other tests, all of which came back normal. I received six doses of IV steroids, followed by a low-dose steroid regimen for one week. During the medication period, my vision started to improve, and after two weeks, it was mostly restored. However, I still feel slight pain in my eye and experience some blurriness. Could you please guide me on a diet plan or any other recommendations to help overcome this situation? Thank you.

I love you, too, Dr Banik! Thank you for blessing us with your podcasts! My dad, brother, and both sisters got horrible migraines. When I was young I got very bad migraines 3 days before and 3 days after my period. I used to take an OTC pain reliever very sparingly, maybe 3 pills a month. I saw a full page ad 25 years ago by excellus explaining rebound headaches and how drugs both rx and OTC can cause the rebound headaces. This is ironic, sadley because now when I speak w/insurance companies during my work day for a very large 400 doctor practice they are advising the providers to prescribe certain drugs (smh, my times have changed : ( I decided to test this and stop taking the 3 OTC pain relievers I was taking a month. I was shocked to find that I went from having 4 headaches a month to having 2. There was a time when I saw a neurologist and everything that he gave me caused rebound headaches. I tried feverfew, which gave me nightmares. Back then I learned by experience that not keeping a good sleep schedule would bring on a migraine attack, becoming dehyrated would give me headaches, too. These days at 64 years old I rarely get migraines, I average 5 hours of sleep a day during the work week, many days just 3 hours - I know my body needs sleep and I"m working on becoming more organized so that I can finish doing what I have to do and get to bed early - but the lack of sleep does not give me a headache these days; I think because I am sitting in the seat of consciousness. MSG will bring on a migraine so I stay away from it. I only eat whole plant based non processed foods. I do not eat the SAD diet. Chemicals, perfumes give me a migraine as I am very sensitive. The only migraines I get these days (knock on wood. ) Can occur while I am working. It starts w/my vision breaking up and the moment this happens I tell my supervisor that I'm having an occular migraine and need to drink magnesium powder and will be right back. I log off my PC put a teaspoon of magnesium power in warm water (from the tepot) drink it and in a few minutes I am fine and can see but then have a horrible migraine headach and by drinking enough water and eating fresh fruit, nuts, seeds carbs throughout the day the migraine goes away. I maybe only get this type of migraine once every 3 months and it completely goes away provided I do the before mentioned steps. I am having eye issues which is why God lead me to Dr Banik. Because of the eye issues that I am having now (not migraine related) the very last occular migraine that I had I thought oh no how can I manage this on top of the current eye issue. I do have Pharma GABA at home in my apothecary that I use very sparingly, which I decided to take along with the magnesium powder and by God's good grace, it stopped the occular migrance. I used to be affected by weather changes and it would always bring on a migraine. These days not eating the SAD diet weather changes no longer bring on a migraine. Even, scentless, color free laundry detergent will bring on a migraine so I decided to use 1/3 cup bronson unscented castle soap as a laundry detergent instead, 1/2 cup baking powder and rinse w/ 1 cup white vinegar when doing my clothes and I never get sick now from the laundry detergent. Also, these days on the weekend I can get up and miss a meal for as long as I can go and do not get a migraine headache I attribute this to a good whole food plant based diet. I do not eat processed food.

Please keep doing what you are doing Dr Banik. We need you! I hope to see you in the not so distant future and lo ok forward to it. You are an absolute Godsend. I have taken your podcast to heart. I do not eat the S.A.D diet and no processed foods. I have a vegan whole food diet and after watching your video am seriously thinking of eating eggs from a regenative farmer. I'm looking forward to getting even more colorful whole foods into my diet for my eyes.
