A whole years worth of work wrapped up in 10 minutes. I’m sure glad it really don’t go that fast. Time is way to short in my old age now. Lol

I'm not sure about parts availability for the Belarus tractors. That would be my biggest detriment. All EVs have been a good garage burner.

It wouldn’t hurt to put a tiny discrete mark on these units that only you know where it is and you could check for that to see if the same machine shows up again at future auctions.

I can tell. They all have some discreet mark, tires, or equipped a special way that I can tell the tractors.

It's amazing what a little heat came do. I've done the very same thing. But with a oxygen and propane torch. Pump engine head nuts are on the out side of head and studs go through the head. Those old engines sat out side for years and rust on.
@tyfrank34278 күн бұрын
I use heat a lot. An acetylene torch is too much for these #10 dash screws, but the little propane torch works well.

As a mechanic in my youth I never had the patience for butane, MAPP or acetylene. Butane and MAPP always took longer than my patience and I always ran the acetylene so hot it would instantly melt everything.
@tyfrank342712 күн бұрын
It takes patience but drilling the bolts out and retapping the holes takes more...
@whiterook802212 күн бұрын

Great video Ty , I spotted a International 956XL with front assist and a cab . On the back of the cab was a number like a foreign license plate. Sticker looked like import code. Just wondering if the 956 XL is available in Canada or over seas . Thank you.
@tyfrank342712 күн бұрын
None of those ever came to Canada. What was available in the United States also came to Canada.
@mitchelldarnell533416 күн бұрын
Good job Sir. I’ve accomplished the same type of repairs in my past. Working on motorcycles as a kid. I actually used gasket material to make mine. But you have to do what you have on hand👍🤠
@tyfrank342712 күн бұрын
I would have used gasket material but everything we had was way too thick. The thickness of the gasket sets the endplay of the pump gears, and if you use material too thick, it will give too much clearance, killing the pump's oil pumping capabilities.
@melsplace400717 күн бұрын
I felt like it was worth it to pull the pickup tube off when I did my BN oil pump plate. It's amazing how much oil sneaks through those little gaps.
@tyfrank342712 күн бұрын
Yes but on the intake side, if it leaks at all then the pump won't suck.

@tyfrank342712 күн бұрын
Not on those. And not always on everything else. It could be a weak pressure relief spring, too.
@oldfarmer470017 күн бұрын
For sure the new tractors aren’t that simple to fix and parts wouldn’t be accessible either. Couldn’t find a gasket for a new one laying on the shop floor. Been working on a 10 year old tractor last couple days. Loader valve, tractor manufacturer was bought out by another company last couple years. Call dozens of places and no one can come up with parts list or a new valve. Valve is made in turkey. I bet I can’t find parts on the shop floor for it no matter how long I look. Lol

Gd day oldfarmer So what make is urs? Ths
@oldfarmer470017 күн бұрын
@ Branson.
@tyfrank34278 күн бұрын
You can make many gaskets for even newer tractors. But it's actually even harder to get parts for new equipment than old stuff nowadays. Even brands like Case IH and John Deere struggle to get some parts in a timely fashion. I've heard reports of several days or even weeks to get parts for current models.
@JeffMilitello17 күн бұрын
Good job. Other than the pan being a pain it didn't look like too bad of a job. Nice easy cheap fix. Like how you made the gasket. Innovation at its finest.

Great video thanks. But once an engine is unstuck, are there not rough rings inside the cylinders where the pistons stopped? And are the piston rings not a little messed up? Thanks!
@tyfrank342719 күн бұрын
Surprisingly, not usually. Many times, they don't even use oil. My Super W-6 was seized when I got it. I unseized it this way but due to a stuck valve, we pulled the head. It appeared to have a recent overhaul. It also runs like it. It has no blowby, no oil consumption, and lots of power. We unseized many like that and most turned out well.

That’s pretty neat how that 15w40 acts at those temperatures! I’m jealous of your wheel weights. Hard to find a set for my W6 where I live.
@tyfrank342719 күн бұрын
Where are you? We have lots here but getting them to you may be a problem. The W-6-560 takes the same weights.
@sterff8918 күн бұрын
@ I’m in Pennsylvania. I’ve only seen one W6 in person and that’s the one I bought. They aren’t very common here like they are in Canada or the western plains states. I did find a parts tractor with a set at an upcoming auction I plan on bidding on. A lot of people around here strip weights off tractors and sell them for ridiculous prices. I have bought tractors cheaper than some sets of weights haha.
