When you start from debt levels where we are at right now, a war isn't going to solve your problems. Unless it totally resets the world order and that is not going to favour the existing bankers. We are all underestimating how wrong leadership really is even with these machiavellian calculations... the current situation is not similar to whatever happened over the last big crisis of the last 2 centuries sorry.

The analysis of Vale is inconsistent. Though I would be careful with such statements, it may very well be that iron ore prices cannot go lower. But why shouldn't the labor and the diesel prices go a lot higher? And what is the situation of Vale then?

They try as much as possible, to avoid the war , but finally that the only thing ,that Should happens till the old system goes away , And replace by new system ( gold standard ) . Finally it will end up in the war . It is unavoidable .

Modern economic theory assumes that productivity (which underpins our wealth and material progress) is a product of labor and capital. Energy is assumed to be just another input with its unit price representing its contribution to economic output. One barrel of oil represents almost 5 years of human labor, and human economies only pay the cost of its extraction (currently around $50 in 2022), not the tens of millions of years of natural processes to create it. We have underpaid for the main input to human economies - and economic texts do not recognize this fact.

Morning, where is the data that says one barrel of oil equals to 5 years of human labor? Is it through the cost of production, and then averaging the labor of one person for 5 years?

People often overlook the necessity for the mining industry to decarbonize its operations to align with the new regulations outlined in the AGENDA 2030 sustainable development goals. Having worked in the cargo shipping industry and maritime law, I've witnessed the implementation of various measures such as ballast water treatment, gas scrubbers, EEDI/EEXI, EPL, and underwater acoustic reduction systems to meet these guidelines. While I'm uncertain about the specific steps mining should take to follow a similar path, it's evident that the price of iron ore has been declining since its peak in 2021. China, seeking alternatives to Australian iron ore due to sustainability concerns, faces challenges in obtaining green steel certification for its products. Additionally, Mexico, a major silver producer, is considering banning open-pit mining. Concurrently, the oil and gas industry is also transitioning towards decarbonization efforts, leading to dwindling oil reserves and higher prices. The industry cites low returns on investment and diminishing cost-effectiveness as factors contributing to this shift.

You don't need an Oxford degree to understand that if you mindlessly give away money for ten years, encouraging people to go into debt, and then suddenly do the exact opposite, the country will go into disarray.

Gold is not merely an element on the periodic table; it is a fundamental pillar of human civilization. For millennia, before the advent of paper money, cryptocurrencies, credit cards, or banking systems, gold served as the backbone of economic exchange, enabling societies to transcend the limitations of barter and other precarious systems of trade. In times when the value of goods could not be easily quantified or agreed upon, gold offered a universal measure, a beacon of certainty and truth in an often uncertain world. The role of gold extended beyond mere commerce; it was intertwined with the cultural, religious, and artistic expressions of countless civilizations. From the sacred temples of ancient Egypt to the opulent courts of European monarchies, gold has been a symbol of divine beauty, power, and eternal life. Its unique properties-non-corrosive, malleable, and brilliantly lustrous-made it an ideal medium for both artisans and alchemists, a material thought to carry the glow of the sun itself. Moreover, gold’s significance reaches into the cosmic scale. This precious metal is not of earthly origin alone; it is forged in the cataclysmic heartbeats of dying stars, supernovae that scatter their enriched dust across the universe. This stardust gathered in the cloud that formed our Solar System, seeding our planet with its glittering essence long before the dawn of humanity. Thus, when we interact with gold, we are not merely handling a commodity, but engaging with a fragment of the cosmos. It serves as a tangible link to the infinite, a testament to the vast, majestic processes that operate within the stars. In handling gold, humanity touches not just the wealth of the earth but the eternal, cosmic legacy of the universe itself. Through gold, we are vividly reminded of our small place within a much larger, awe-inspiring cosmic tapestry.

Where do I find interesting is that the numbers in charts of 2007 - 2008 are mimicking right now and they say that we are not in a recession well for not in a recession but yet we're matching those numbers and then it gets worse that would be called a depression but yet they will just call it a recession. These people are con artists and love to lie to the American people putting the American people in a worst spot instead of telling them the truth so they can prepare

Tom mentioned Eurodollar system and how it's contracting. If so, the initial reaction would be lower interest rates not higher. The reaction of the central banks/fiscals is what might cause inflation to soar along with interest rates. He said short bonds... I would take the opposite bet, in the short term. In the long term, I agree with Tom it will be higher for longer...
