I have just returned from seeing The Doobie Brothers in Ridgefield, WA, tonight (Portland, OR area). It was a killer show - and I am so glad to see this as I relive it! Thanks!

I just saw this tour, at Saratoga Performance Art Center. Sounded like what I expected Deep Purple to sound, especially at 50 plus years. Still good show, but it makes you feel old and young.

Is it just me, or are they playing “Minority” and “Brain stew” at a lower key than they used to?

When he mentions Jeff Beck @37:00 you can here some dumb woman in the crowd and several other people chuckle and get excited like they thinks he's there... when he died in 2023. Durp.

Saw them a month ago at Fenway and I STILL haven't come down from the high. They've been my favorite band since 94 and seeing them for the first time felt like a life milestone.

Could it be that in the song "Into the fire" Ian forgot this part of the song "Gonna make it hard for you, you're gonna..."? Or is he not singing because he can't stand it?

I've been following DP very closely, no wonder as it's my favorite band since 80's. SM saved the band when ho joined the band. And now Simon McBride does the same thing. It's a band thing, and not only a guitar thing. 🙂

It s like watching ZEPPELIN without Pagey. The DP fans are idiot how can ya claim youtself as a fan but you have a bad mouth about the founding father of the band RB. The new guy is a paid session musician and is not the same guitar god .league unlike RB always has

Best show of my life. I don’t know what could possibly top it. I made it all the way to “Homecoming”-and then it was just waterworks 😭 for that song, “Whatsername,” and the beginning of “Bobby Sox.” I felt like a kid again and sang along with every song in the pit with some of my best friends from grade school.

Probably 15-25 pairs during the entire set. Thoes buckets of sticks he gives away at the end to the pit are probably 200 pairs in each bucket.
