I soak mine in hand soap overnight then rinse clean in the morning. The speed and slickness can't be matched. i would have some concerns what that product may do to the chemical structure of the line itself.
@GuideRecommended

I'm going to try the soap over night cleaning. I could see how it could soften and lift the dirt off. In my previous life, (when I had a job) I was a plastics engineer. The cleaning additives in armor all are chemically the same as what is used making fly line

Thanks - nice reviews. I am an angler and fish biologist and find myself trying to spot fish in low light (Western Washington in November). For me, light amber/yellow gives the best contrast. I don't want to spend a lot because they are easy to lose, but I also wear glasses so I need fit-overs. My go to is: Eagle Eyes Fit-Overs - currently $41.96; my recommendation for those who don't need fit-overs is Flying Fisherman Buchanan rectangular for $23. Just as good visually. They seem to only come in women's but the fish don't care. Like other plastic lenses they scratch easily

How do you like your NuCanoe Frontier 12 kayak? I've been considering purchasing a 12' version of a NuCanoe w/casting stability bar or another brand of kayak. Also, what are your thoughts about having a kayak powered by pedals and line management? I live in SW Florida and saw Joe Mahler, a SW Florida Fly Fishing legend, fishing from a NuCanoe Frontier 12 kayak w/casting stability bar on KZbin. Keep the great videos coming! Thank you, David!

The Frontier 12 has been bulletproof for me. Very seldom do I cast from it through. I'm mostly in shallow rivers so I pull over and wade to fishing spots. I do paddle about 70% of the time standing in order to look for fish. I like fishing in some of the less popular small rivers so this canoe is perfect.

These are actually some of my favorite glasses, but i have to buy 2-3 time a year, because the lenses just aren't durable. Once i get even the tiniest scratch in the main field of view, theyre done for me. I love the color of the brown/chartreuse lenses. I prefer my glass costas for lens durability, but the frames seem to be a major weak point for me.
@GuideRecommended
@GuideRecommended 16 күн бұрын
I haven't experienced durability issues, but I have so many sunglasses the KastKings do get set to the side quite a bit. Great comment I appreciate the information.

I have been a dedicated Costa fan using only their 580 glass in green mirror for very bright days. However, my FAVORITE go-to is their COPPER (non mirrored) for contrast and colour enhancement...the pop.. In the Maui Jims, what are the main differences between the Bronze & Rose colours? I am a long haul driver, so glasses are worn for HOURS in varying light
@GuideRecommended
@GuideRecommended 16 күн бұрын
I'm surprised you don't like the gray tints more. Grays usually hve the best protection in harsh light. (the color does get muted with gray) You are experiencing some harsh sunlight conditions on the road. I absolutely love the copper/bronze tint, mostly because the best fishing is in lower light conditions. (early morning and later afternoon) If you get a chance read up on VLT (visual light transmission) It is a measurement of how much light passes through the lenses.

While not budget at double the price limit here of $99, if anyone is looking for a premium fishing sunglass at a ridiculously good price, go to your local Costco and get a pair of Costa sunglasses at more than half off. My Costas have the best polarized lenses for fishing of any sunglasses I’ve used, they are very comfortable, come with a sturdy case, and the anti-scratch coating on them is more durable than any other sunglasses I have owned except a pair of Ray Bans that had glass lenses. The most effective anti-scratch coatings are those on glass lenses, but that pair of Ray Bans I used to own was so heavy that it became uncomfortable to wear after about half an hour.
