As someone who faces severe depression this speech really made me tear up because its so inspiring. Its so empowering. It makes me think that things will get better, maybe they will.

"Because you kept moving forward, no matter how far off the path you were told you were headed, or how unexpected it became you found your way." That hit me so hard dude. Even though almost all of us keep hearing this the game litterally gives us evidence of this and shows us that our journeys do pay off and no matter what we should and we can keep pushing on and you dont have to make your problems a bad thing. This is litterally showing us the theme of perspective.

I remember this. I was just walking through the last level. Then my eyes widen as I sit and listen. He was right. No matter how hard you try, there will always be something wrong. But that's just nature. Humans are meant to feel sadness, and fear, and anger, and even empathy. But things can get better. Even if it dosen't look like it, there is always sun after the storm. Nobody is perfect, and if you end up crying about something others might consider dumb, then that's okay. It's normal. The only reason others might consider it stupid is becuase they've never experienced something like that before, and therefore, can't proccess what it's like for you. That's why you need to see things from every angle. That's why the items grew when they looked like all they did was move. It's because you saw things from the angle needed, and therefore found the right answer. You weren't stuck sitting there in confusion and fear. It's like the level Blackout. The red paint on the floor looked like blood, but only because everything had a spooky atmosphere to it, so your mind went for the worst possible thought. But as you turned the generator on, you realized it wasn't as bad as you thought. And there's that theme, things will always get better, and you will naturally feel fear and worry. That's okay. Even if something might seem hopeless, you can see things in a different way, and then you'll have found the path to peace. The way he said it, it just... struck me. I almost cried. It was just so shocking. I knew that life had problems, but this game made me realize things won't always be as bad as they seem, and there's always a different way to look at things. That's what hit me so hard. "But today, you got the chance to see things in a different way, and you recognized them for what they really were." That quote there. It was just so shattering, and yet I loved it. Because it was true. Sorry for rambling, I know, I basically just repeated what he said, I get it. But it just shook my world so much, bacause it was the truth.

“Hello! My name is Dr. Glenn Pierce, and many years ago, I had a dream. I found myself in a place where I understood that each of us begins as nothing. Where everything I perceived was shaped by seeing it exactly the way I wanted to. Whitespace. But in Whitespace, I also faced the greatest challenge I could imagine: Because with a lifetime of life itself behind me - and all of the weight that it carried... I realized that seeing things the way I wanted to was not as easy as it used to be. You’re well beyond dreaming now, and further out than anyone has ever come back from, but we hope that you won’t get discouraged. After all: If this is a place of pure perspective, isn’t it also a place where a different point of view could make anything possible? Isn’t that why you came here? Hello my name is Dr. Glenn Pierce, and by now you may have realized that all of this has happened exactly the way it was supposed to. You see, everyone who comes to the Institute does so because they feel that they are no longer in control of something important to them. But, more often than not, the problem is not that the problems we face can’t be solved: The problem is that we become so afraid of failure that we refuse to see our problems from a new perspective. And so we do the same things again and again and again. And therein, of course, we find exactly the failure we were looking for. Your life will always be a struggle and you will always have problems. But today, you had the chance to see things differently. Even though it meant facing obstacles that seemed impossible at first, you thought outside the box - and you overcame them. Because you saw things from every angle, you understand them for what they really were. Because you kept moving forward, no matter how far off the path you were told you were headed, or how unexpected it became... You found your way. In a few minutes, you’ll be back in the real world, and some part of you will say that none of this was real: So how could it have meant anything? But - just like the power of perspective itself - it will have been as real as you believed it to be. All you’ve got to do is Wake Up.-

I'd like a new game but I'm not sure how it'd work in relation to the existing game since for development to be worthwhile, there'd need to be new gameplay concepts which is why game sequels are usually never the same game but with a different story or upgrade graphics e.g. SimCity 4 is not just SimCity 3000 with better graphics and larger maps; and with a game like Superliminal, it'd be really hard to come out with new game concepts especially since development started ~2013 with the game releasing in 2019 according to Wikipedia...

@@wclifton968gameplaystutorials exactly. I would love a new game, but what message would they try and potray? How would the level designs be different and what mechanics would they add? We had the alarm clock for this game, along with the whole "Perception is Reality" motto, so we would need something else. I do love the idea of a second Superliminal, however.

I teared up after listening to it, I've struggled for years with these issues on top of heavy depression. This speech made me bawl my eyes out because it taught me something, for the first time in my life all I needed to do was take an outside perspective on things, and when I finally heard that I for one knew exactly what I needed to do.
