A few interesting things that you demonstrated that I'd never seen before. Never even seen the combined knife and awl in any reference books... Will definitely check the museum online archive as I'm looking to make up some medieval leather accessories shortly as part of an archers kit (as well as the variations used by crossbowmen)

Brilliant. Glad I found this vid. I’m reading Lovely She Goes by William Mitford about arctic-trawling aboard Arctic Fox out of Grimsby.
