Today is Dec. 25, 2023. Merry Christmas yo you all. What a lovely song. I declare Ps 91 over our lives. No evil or calamity shall come near us because God is good and we dwell in His secret place. Please make a tutorial video of this. I would love to learn this even in my old age. Thank you in advance.

Sorry, wish I did! I can tell you that this is drop D tuning, but there is no tablature--this is something I arranged for a virtual Good Friday service last year, but I never wrote it out anywhere. Glad you like it though.

Trying to learn this one. Might be the most difficult piece I ever played on guitar. How did you just do that ? Plus, not even with the guitar standing straight, just casual posture. Amazing.
@patrikfrroku72152 жыл бұрын
Have you progressed on this piece??
@Pode912 жыл бұрын
@@patrikfrroku7215 Not really, no. It definitely was not written for guitar at all and you can tell by the positions of the fingers. It's just too much to learn for a single piece, which makes it all the more amazing to watch played.

How did you come up with this? Hope you can share..
@nateveldt8743 жыл бұрын
Hi Leif, I'm afraid I don't really have a specific formula for writing music or picking melodies and harmonies. I tend to play around with basic patterns and riffs, and when I find something that I think sounds especially fun or cool, I incorporate it into a composition. I've found that the more I learn how to play music from other artists (especially challenging pieces that force me to learn new techniques and explore new musical ideas), the better I become at composing my own tunes. I see you've mentioned in another comment that you're struggling with writer's block. In that case I'd maybe recommend you take a break from trying to write. Instead, go out and find sheet music (or a tab) for a composition by another musician that you find particularly beautiful, and practice it until you've mastered it. I've always found that highly rewarding.
