No modifications to the truck were required and not even a single hole had to be drilled. We did some frame mods to route the exhaust above the crossmembers after taking the torsion bars and related hardware out, but it wasn't necessary. This is a bolt-in swap, the shifter even fits through the original hole in the tunnel. We used a 71C trans from a Z31.

Thanks! The Blue Shed is powered by a VG33 with '95 Pathy/Euro cams backed by an '04 Supercharged Xterra automatic trans. Stock 4.625 gears and rear LSD. 33x10.5R15 BFG KM2s on Lego wheels. Idler brace, steering stabilizer, and no rear sway bar.

I don't know where you live but here in Washington State WD21 Pathfinders are everywhere and cheap. Two doors are getting hard to find and are going up in price, but four doors are the cheapest they've ever been.

I love my 93 xe. Breath of fresh air from all the Toyota fan boys out there. These are solid little rigs and quite capable if you build it right and keep the weight down.

That distributor is from a VG30S, the factory carbureted VG sold overseas. They are basically extinct. Davis Unified Ignition sells an HEI based distributor specifically for VGs with carbs.

A 650cfm carb is *way* too big for a VG30! I produce an intake manifold that mounts a 350 or 500 Holley two barrel. Unless the engine is wildly built they make more power with a 350 than a 500 and you'll never get a 500cfm carb to run well in a street application with a three liter, two valve engine. The best option for ignition is the HEI distributor that Davis Unified Ignition sells. The engine in this video has the ultra rare VG30S factory distributor that was mostly used on carbureted Saudi pickup trucks.

A VG34 is a VG33 overbored 1.5mm with VH45DE (Infiniti Q45 V8) pistons and rings.
