Have you considered uploading a 'true' tutorial video for Ark Nova (rather than a video of you learning in the tutorial)? I'm waiting with a friend for the full release, and a tutorial would be great for him to watch!

@@Croij yeah I’ve thought about it; the tutorial in direwolf adaptation is lacking now that I’ve played a bunch of matches. For example tutorial doesn’t tell you that if you have at least 3 workers you can support 2 projects within a single break.

yeah it was pretty gross; I do play viewer games when I stream but I haven't streamed in awhile due to work; I plan to get back to that very soon though I usually schedule them when I do, so you'll know a couple days ahead of time!

I was hoping this would be the video where you didn't hyper fixate on the shipping track again. I just wantbto point out the Helena this game didn't go on it once and she was able to get 13 victory points. There was a play in the beginning where you gave away 4 spice to "set up". Come on man, I'm rooting for you but not like this.

No, I've got 10 matches already recorded before you made the comment about trying to do no shipping; so I haven't been playing with that in mind. Some matches in that 10 do happen to have less shipping but not none at all! Helena did great this match; The Guild Bankers R3 was a great ring grab

I agree, I kinda wish we had Ranked badges next to our names/player profiles; I'm sure some of these players are gold-plat/masters ranked but got placed into my bronze match due to player base size/skill level. For example last video before this, we matched against a top 10 player in our first bronze match it is a great watch though; more intense matches to come, I appreciate you watching!

@@JustDiizz Two seasons ago I was still in Silver and got paired vs the number 2 Master player at the time. I don't think there is any hidden MMR matchmaking going on and its fully random.

@@monkeyunit4533 Yeah I think due to player base size and the half hour between ranked matches, splits people up! Last weeks Baron match from previous season was exactly like that, #1 Master player(JD) at the time in my gold match lol

Just to be more precise for you're question during that game. The "base" conservation projects are those 3 on the top drawn at the begining of the game but you can get some of them during the game (for example Africa that you get with the "Assertion" capacity from the White Rhino). Really enjoy that game ! Epic ending !

I think you focus too hard on the shipping track. There were so many more optimal plays that could have been done if you weren't so fixated on the shipping track. For you next game, can you try to challenge yourself and not even look at shipping and see if you can win without it. I understand shipping is strong, but It makes you a better player if you dont rely on it all the time.

@@xBuckfuddr yeah I do fixate on shipping and sometimes to a fault, it just feels too powerful not to try to capitalize on it but it does feel suboptimal sometimes, you’re right . I’ll keep the no shipping track challenge in mind for a future match! I think next match being posted I use it only twice 😮💨

@@s.d.d.6063 No, it’s my first 1v1; I am pretty bad at the game right now but learning more every time I play. I’m just playing random people I find in the lobby system. If you’d like, you can check out my latest upload of Ark Nova and let me know if I’ve improved slightly 🥲 I only tried Ark Nova when the Direwolf adaptation got released. I do plan to play on BGA soon though as you said in your other comment the UI is pretty bad in this adaptation compared to what I see on BGA for UI! I have since been watching NoWonders and jdsanp to try to learn and get better! I mostly play Dune Imperium

30:40 - Feels like you 2nd guessed yourself into the wrong play. Sietch into Research Station looks great. Just take High Council instead of Mentat and you can probably buy SMF. Nobody can even block you from what I see. What a rough game though. When the scout/sardaukar duo comes up it feels so bad to be sitting in the 4th seat. The imperial row dries up quickly and you end up having such a bad deck (feels like the Freman Camp is the only good card in your deck for example). My last couple of games were like this and the best card to buy 1st and 2nd round being a liaison feels so demoralizing. You can still play for 2nd if you are otherwise lucky, but 1st place starts to feel impossible. Really looking forward to family atomics when Immortality gets added :D

I agree, definitely got in my head on what to do; my thoughts were it would feel pretty bad to spend 2 workers for the sietch to research station and my deck as you said was pretty bad too so only a small chance I’d have the persuasion for SMF even with high council😔 I’m hoping Dire Wolf announce that they’re working on Immo soon; I want some fresh content and strategies to learn and indulge into 😤 plus them atomics to clear out imperium row are definitely needed! Also, at kzbin.info/www/bejne/rYTafIhngdOdesU you tried to play double cross to remove Ilbans dreadnought, but this intrigue doesn't work this way. It only affects troops, not units. There is a very bad wording in the game regarding all combat pieces (units = dreadnoughts + troops) and just troops (the combat squad cubes). It is a legacy from the version of the game before "Rise of Ix" where there were only troops, and nobody thought to reword this card. This makes dreadnoughts that much stronger

To get the plans without plans 2nd VP, you only need to be on the 3rd track of each faction, not the 4th.

@@JustDiizz it's easy to mistake this condition with "Grand Conspiracy" intrigue card. It has ""4+ influence on 2+ influence tracks". I always confuse "Plans within Plans" with it

Havent seen how round 7 ends, but I think the play is take back alliance at smuggling with ring. Then truth sayer to wealth for emperor point. In reveal get spice from spice must flow reveal and end the round at 10

Good game! The quality of the video was a bit on and off today, probably something with the streaming software. Also, pleeease, don't add the end screen banners, they cover the final bits of the gameplay (maybe just add a bit of talking in the end of the video so the banners will appear later). Just a feedback from a follower 😉

Round 6 you were agonizing so much about how you could get to spice. After arakeen drew ring you had it. Just diplomacy to wealth to get to 5 solari and you have 8 in hand, signet ring to high council brings you to 7 in hand +2 from council for spice.

Also on turn 8 if you just used your card to pay spice for water + card if you hit a yellow you can go to basin for the 4 spice you need for the vp and if you hit a 2 persuasion card you can just reveal for SMF. I think that play was much more consistent than going for selective breeding.
