I drove with pre pass for a while never knowing it had lights on it since they were facing away from me. I just heard it make noise and thought that was the sign to keep going lol. After i figured out it had lights i was like "oh crap."

Believe it or not That ticket is Top 3 on the severity list..Failure to adhere to control device..carriers 3-6 points on licenses..most companies wont hire you and alot will Fire or implement $1000-2000 Company fine if your 1099 with an escrow...Happened to me in Pa years back. I called lawyers that all wanted $1000 and i still had to appear in court..I just payed ticket $250 thinking it wasnt that bad until i saw 3 points on my license months later when i tried to work at Fed Ex..They denied my application..

@slomotion5165 well I guess Peterbilt and a lot of other trucks can't haul any type of hazardous loads because it's a DOT regulation that the bill of laden must be accessible and visible to emergency hazardous materials response team from the ground so they can identify what and how much hazardous materials are on the truck. Trucking companies are required to make sure every driver has a copy of the interstate commerce rules and regulations book. The Dot rules and regulations little fat green book your supposed to learn it thats why when a company hires a driver they give that driver one of those little green books. And it must also be in your truck at all times. Like clean white sheets

@slomotion5165 oh just because a the truck doesn't have something you are required to have doesn't mean you don't have to abide by the laws . I pulled a flatbed for almost half a century. I was required to have chains and straps to secure my load . I've picked up new trucks and trailers from dealerships and they never had any chains or straps. I even operated a wrecker for guy who owned five Kenworth dealerships for several years and none of the trucks came with things drivers were required to have to do what the rules say you have to do
