I'm in my late 20s and I'm at university. A lot of the students here see me as their older Akhi and feel comfortable sharing their issues with me. I want to say I am so so ashamed that we have not given them better guidance, there is so much disunity and misguidance within the Muslim communities in the university environment. People who will be the near future are leaders to the next generation of Muslims. They have been left to figure things out on their own and unfortunately the few lessons they have learned from their elders are their bad habits. Lack of knowledge, Akhlaq, and Adab. The pious ones are silent and keep to themselves and are afraid to share knowledge. The loud ones are aggressive and argumentative provoking disunity and spreading misinformation. Do I hold my hands like this or that? Do I do my tasbih like this or that? No you can't do more than 8 rakahs for taraweeh that is bidah. Why is the imams jummah khutba 30minutes long? He just keeps yapping on! That imam thinks he's got that holy rizz init. Ya Allah guide us and give us strength. The things that the Muslim students had been chastised for since childhood seems to them to be the important message to convey about islam. Instead of saying focus on learning al-fatiha and doing your prayer they are sending mixed messages. Allah help us, I am their fellow student, not their imam, or their community leader but they have come to me and I can't ignore their questions. The amount of swearing I hear in the masjid, lack of respect for property and the environment, talking disrespectfully to each other and others Sexualising the opposite sex, gossiping, and impropriety. la hawla wala quta ila Bila I see pious Muslims coming at jummah prayer and in the evening they are drinking and partying. I say at least they went to the jummah but do they understand their prayers are not accepted? These are not reverts/converts struggling, these are born and raised Muslims. Where did they learn this was even slightly acceptable? How do you balance valuable criticism and not driving them away from the deen. Everyday in the Muslim group chat, people are swearing, people criticise quotes FROM THE QURAN and are commenting "why are people so preachy?" Imams please, get with the times, the young have so much messaging from their environment and they haven't been given good tools to deal with it It creates a terrible impression Akhi, how am I meant to hold my hands during prayer? Akhi, is it halal for me to go out on a date with a sister? Akhi, I'm trying to tell this recent revert to Islam that she needs to wear a hijab and she keeps saying she is uncomfortable with it. Where is the Adab and the akhlaq that they were meant to be raised on since childhood? There are young Muslims who feel like it is ok to drink, or date, commit zina, or backbite against those who have memories the Qur'an and imams. because they are young and can find forgiveness. As we surely know, sin committed with the intention of forgiveness is grave. The only short form advice I feel I can give is if the prophet (SAW) did it, do it, if the prophet didn't do it, avoid it. Focus on praying 5 times a day, once you do that try to be respectful to everyone, especially your elders, and strive to do good and conduct yourself respectfully so those that see and listen to you feel drawn and not repulsed by you. I am not their imam, but when I do hear imams, they are busy rebuking the people who showed up for the jummah prayer because he only sees one row for the rest of the week. This isn't winning you any points, you're pushing them into the easy temptations that are just outside the masjid. Know your audience.

Once the followers of any religion begin to search suitability of their respective lifestyles in order to be according to context , the followers of that particular religion willingly or unwillingly move away from the proscribed path. So, unless one endeavours to remain steadfast to ones very own religious code, nobody is going to respect your ways , let alone follow the same /

Another problem. If we don't have highly trained men and women, then we will simply create more problems. Also, these sorts of things should not be managed by civilians. We need a strong army man to rule the countries of the Muslims, as well as have control of all Muslim institutions abroad, as military leaders often make more effective decisions compared to civilians. There is a reason why our Shariah has not given too much power to women. Whenever women rule a country, it goes to ruin. Take the women's rule of the Ottoman empire as an example. This is just feminist propaganda. Men and women both have different strengths and weaknesses hence while norms and morals have to be different for them. For example, it is way better for a woman to stay at home and take care of the kids, due to her physical weaknesses as well as mental differences compared to men. I'm not saying a women can't do things, like founding her own madrassas, advising rulers with regard to what she is capable of, founding charaties to help people, but men and women are not the same.
@MuhammedDenix
@MuhammedDenix 3 ай бұрын
I see many problems with this. 1. Inn medieval Islamic world, women did play very important roles and some were even Muftis even in the Ottoman empire. So to use this feminist gender tactic is no good. 2. Whether the speaker likes it or not, men will always make decisions compared to women. This is unavoidable. Men will always train women to do specific things. Yes of course many of our great male scholars were taught by female scholars, I don't dispute that. But ultimately, Allah has preferred men over women. 3. Al-azhar should not be taken as an example of a great Islamic institute. I don't say that because I'm a guy, far from it. But they are trying to change Islam. Once a respected institute, now Al-azhar is not what it used to be back in the day. Which is why many scholars are advising people not to study there. While I have many, many, many issues with the Salafi da'wa, and am not recommending this institute, the Islamic university of Madinah is a far better institute as it sticks closer to orthadox, traditional Islamic teaching.

@MuhammedDenix There is. A lot to unpack but let us just clarify one thing Madina University is a Wahhabi university not orthodox at all. The traditional Ulema with the highest qualifications still exist in every country. And the scholars are known. Hadramaut in Yemen has one the best schools called dar Al Mustapha for men and dar azzahra for women.
@MuhammedDenix
@MuhammedDenix Ай бұрын
@@binthamadicamara2077 Oh I agree Madinah university has a lot of problems. You are right in the sense that the Salafi da'wa has many non-traditional positions, I don't dispute that. But the liberal stuff that are being pushed in this video is even worse, although the salafiya are starting to liberalize slowly as well.

She makes valid points which I echo. Imams have lost their respect as they are afriad to speak the truth on big topics and dumb things down. There is no unity and cos tje imams are weak, the people become weak. When we focus on ourselves. We forget the strength of unity and brotherhood. Imams just kead salah and say a soeech now and then and give nasiha on basic stuff. The heads of these imams are weak and afriad of loosing their position. The chairmen and president of the masjid are totally clueless. There is a reason why people dont attend the masjid. Blame those on top. I wasnt even allowed to do fitness classes because its a masjid and irs only for salah.... Tje government juggle the balls of heads of these masjid committee

Interesting to sees the topic that DR. Myriam has held, about the mission should the Imams conducted their comunnity. (qaum). The basic and the first principle of Islamic teaching is about ethics, or akhlaq, before lawan or fiqh. Social responsibility includes what we see exist today in many sosial media, become a critical issue that Islamic leaders and Imam should absorps and interpret to their community in all aspect they need to getting answer or guidance
