Fauzia Ahmad is nothing other than a female mirror version of Andrew Tate: she derides and hates men to her very core and it shows in this blatantly sexist rant. I, too, picked out that Fauzia piled on the negative perceptions of men while going out of her way to project Muslim women as being doyens of angelic behaviour and being far more successful than Muslim men in terms of their academic progression and careers. It is factually correct and blatant lies: many studies have proven that Muslim women have among the least workforce participation of any group of women. The vast majority of Muslim women I know are kept women who live off their men folks earnings, support, care and talents. They sit at home in their hijabs on social media apps and watching television much of the day while they are looked after at every twist and turn. Their husbands, fathers and brothers spend their days catering to their every whim. As for Muslim women being more successful than Muslim men in their careers, as claimed in this presentation, provide the data? Because every study I've read states that Muslim women are among the least successful women of any community and do not come close to Muslim men in terms of where they are in their career ladders, earnings and contributions to society. Just because the odd Muslim women have a stupid 'henna business' or slaps on make-up on other women the morning of their weddings that earns her 20 rupees a day for a couple of days a month does not make her successful!

Although I agree with her main idea of Imam's speaking about more important topics and issues that will help unite the ummah I can't help but address her point about Muslims celebrating Christmas and her possible deviation from Islam as a political and philosophical system, not just a personal faith. I'm not sure what she meant about it or if she believes celebrating Christmas is permissible, it's obvious that celebrating Christmas is haram by the consensus of all scholars. Secondly, just because some topics may be of greater importance and relevance to us as Muslims it doesn't mean we cease all discussions around less urgent topics and I will give you a logical argument as to why this can never possibly work. You see, because of prevailing ideologies like secularism and liberalism it should be on the top priority list of all Imam's to discuss the fundamental/basic concepts of our religion as a political and philosophical idea. Otherwise, who will educate the young Muslims of our generation? Is that going to produce a future population of strong and intellectual young Muslims? Or will it produce Muslims who don't even pray or care much about the implementation of Islam and the Shariah. Everyone's jaw drops at what's happening in Palestine today but why is that not a single Muslim country has the leverage to be able to stop the United States from supplying weapons to Israel? Because Muslims are not united politically that's why, they all obey NATO Islam will be reduced to just a matter of personal belief and ultimately everyone will live a very secular lifestyle while the leaders of said secular government continue to destroy Islamic lands just as we see what's happening in Palestine today. I'm not one to point the finger but a public figure like Dr. Myriam abandoning the Hijab is a red flag because if she has problems understanding that the Hijab is a compulsory act of worship it's clearly reflective of her ideas about Islam.

I'm in my late 20s and I'm at university. A lot of the students here see me as their older Akhi and feel comfortable sharing their issues with me. I want to say I am so so ashamed that we have not given them better guidance, there is so much disunity and misguidance within the Muslim communities in the university environment. People who will be the near future are leaders to the next generation of Muslims. They have been left to figure things out on their own and unfortunately the few lessons they have learned from their elders are their bad habits. Lack of knowledge, Akhlaq, and Adab. The pious ones are silent and keep to themselves and are afraid to share knowledge. The loud ones are aggressive and argumentative provoking disunity and spreading misinformation. Do I hold my hands like this or that? Do I do my tasbih like this or that? No you can't do more than 8 rakahs for taraweeh that is bidah. Why is the imams jummah khutba 30minutes long? He just keeps yapping on! That imam thinks he's got that holy rizz init. Ya Allah guide us and give us strength. The things that the Muslim students had been chastised for since childhood seems to them to be the important message to convey about islam. Instead of saying focus on learning al-fatiha and doing your prayer they are sending mixed messages. Allah help us, I am their fellow student, not their imam, or their community leader but they have come to me and I can't ignore their questions. The amount of swearing I hear in the masjid, lack of respect for property and the environment, talking disrespectfully to each other and others Sexualising the opposite sex, gossiping, and impropriety. la hawla wala quta ila Bila I see pious Muslims coming at jummah prayer and in the evening they are drinking and partying. I say at least they went to the jummah but do they understand their prayers are not accepted? These are not reverts/converts struggling, these are born and raised Muslims. Where did they learn this was even slightly acceptable? How do you balance valuable criticism and not driving them away from the deen. Everyday in the Muslim group chat, people are swearing, people criticise quotes FROM THE QURAN and are commenting "why are people so preachy?" Imams please, get with the times, the young have so much messaging from their environment and they haven't been given good tools to deal with it It creates a terrible impression Akhi, how am I meant to hold my hands during prayer? Akhi, is it halal for me to go out on a date with a sister? Akhi, I'm trying to tell this recent revert to Islam that she needs to wear a hijab and she keeps saying she is uncomfortable with it. Where is the Adab and the akhlaq that they were meant to be raised on since childhood? There are young Muslims who feel like it is ok to drink, or date, commit zina, or backbite against those who have memories the Qur'an and imams. because they are young and can find forgiveness. As we surely know, sin committed with the intention of forgiveness is grave. The only short form advice I feel I can give is if the prophet (SAW) did it, do it, if the prophet didn't do it, avoid it. Focus on praying 5 times a day, once you do that try to be respectful to everyone, especially your elders, and strive to do good and conduct yourself respectfully so those that see and listen to you feel drawn and not repulsed by you. I am not their imam, but when I do hear imams, they are busy rebuking the people who showed up for the jummah prayer because he only sees one row for the rest of the week. This isn't winning you any points, you're pushing them into the easy temptations that are just outside the masjid. Know your audience.
