Thanks for this information. Why would someone use this approach instead of Link to Fabric (or Synapse Link to Dataverse)? I have also heard that Entity Store is going to be deprecated at one point. Any thoughts on that?

its one way how you can bring D365 FSCM data to fabric. If someone uses BYOD entity export but not Synapse for some reason this may be an option.

Nowadays I'd recommend to use fabric for data science projects or azure ML studio for larger projects.

sorry, i dont speak python. However, with Synapse Link for Dataverse you can use phyton in Synapse or link it to Fabric and use python there e.g. in notebooks

Great video. It inspired me. Every month, for all projects that I have, usually around 20, I have to generate a ECAC or estimated cost at completion, then I have to go through the budgets and make changes to the estimated at completion. Since there are often many lines of task codes, I export the rows to excel, where I have written a large amount of visual basic macros to process the data to get the costs to a starting point that is easier to make changes to. Then I take those numbers and copy them back into F&O where they came from. This takes forever. Large portions of this should be easy to automate. I figure I should be able to automate the creation of the ECAC for a given prompted list of projects and some information like the project period dates etc. This video is inspiring me, how would you do it? How would you tackle this problem? I don't have time as the manager to do this, attend meetings, and visit project sites all in the 2 days this usually falls each month.

Usage of R in PowerBI is very limited. You can use visuals or add R scription in Power Query (learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/connect-data/desktop-r-in-query-editor) You could also go for machine learning in Fabric (learn.microsoft.com/en-us/fabric/data-science/machine-learning-model)

Many thanks for your prompt response. I already built the model in Rstudio and saved it as an Rds file and was able to load the saved Rds as data frame on powerbi but the visualisation for user’s prediction based on selected input is not displaying.

yes I got it but once I click on get started it shows this error- : Application with identifier '42836d4e-f64a-4782-849a-f9f829fab442' was not found in the directory 'ROBUSTRADE'. This can happen if the application has not been installed by the administrator of the tenant or consented to by any user in the tenant. You may have sent your authentication request to the wrong tenant. @@ERPCoder

I only know that Data Export Service from Dataverse (CE Apps) to SQL is deprecated (not FO to Datalake)

at this stage devops is only used as vcs, delpolyment piplines from devops to pbix online is another topic. if you only use vsc you would publish from pbix desktop as usual

Follow the instructions from MS. It requires a PowerApps plugin enabled in LCS and the storage account access information: learn.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/fin-ops-core/dev-itpro/data-entities/configure-export-data-lake
