Thanks for the video. I thinks since it was released their is a Peregrine with air integration. The sound of this video is quite dampened. Please try to improve it. Hopefully you did a more detailed review of those computers since then.

I have so many questions, but I’ll stick to one. What is the estimated battery life with those NP batteries? Also, how do you know when the battery is running low to prevent a power-off while the SDI is still connected? Thanks.

Here's a GREAT TECHNIQUE: Get rid of the ANNOYING music, so people can concentrate in the information you want to show. I don't get why so many people who post online, think that background music on an I.N.S.T.R.U.C.T.I.O.N.A.L video, is a good idea, or that ads any value.

Why would you put all your weights on your back where they are hard to reach if you need to drop them? I can understand two small trim pockets on the top tank band, but not all your weights. It would more practical to place the bottoms on the waistband.

I would rather let the system be locked and re-run the rope without any twist and get all confused. Or rehear the move till you get it 100% perfect before making the video.

When you pull the lever too quickly, such as after a faster descent over a window opening, and you release it, does the rapid descent stop immediately?
@PEGASUSRESCUE

I cannot tell which of the two devices they are talking about in many parts of the video because instead of explicitly saying the device name, they say "this, that, or thing". Plus, I don't understand checkmarks on the white board. Again, which of the two devices are they talking about?

In two person rescue scenario, you switch from single person load descend to two person load descend, but the energy absorber connected on ASAP is for one person load only. Is there no regulation in this scenario to also switch EA from one person load backup to two person load backup? If you are using EA rated for two user backup (250kg max.) in a single person backup, is NOT safe, as well as if you are using EA rated for a single person backup (130kg max.) for two person load.

Is there any chance you can do another video of this but from a different again? Like a Birds Eye view angle? Just so other viewers like myself can get a better idea from a different view. I’m not much of a side viewer, lol.

I hope that a rescue team has EXPERIENCE enough not to go into panick mode, enough to be able to use a Rig. In a life / death situation getting someone down fast might be key - the ID fails here

So true, the ID is great but doesn’t cut it for tactical applications.

the rig isnt built for rescue . it cannot take heavy loads and can only use smaller ropes . not good for rescue at all . good for tactical operations though

6:30 if your patient/victim has a clear/useable safety line, its good habit to leave it in place unless your protocol is necessary SPEED; which I noticed you were using the rig; it's a reason I use one around less experienced buddies' in case I need to hit the dirt quicker. Lol, first time I locked up an ID though (rope backwards), that was a welcomed surprise; but then again that's why you always test load a system before using it.

I 100% agree: shame on anyone who feels they know bette than, CMC themselves. Also, ironically: this is better...or quicker I should say, than CMC's solution of: (basically the same thing but backwards) of single to the single FIRST to the becket, then add the Double (alot more line management, the way it looked), outter lines in th double/double to the the Rescucender/triple wrap Prus.

It seems like on the first day you motored to the top, and the second day you motored to the bottom. Why did you start from the Dokis Reserve unless they are directly involved? It would have been shorter and faster to use the access from The Lodge at Pine Cove, except for Restoule Rapids then. Five Fingers is kind of a gnarly rapid to even pretend running a canoe down, what was filmed here?
@PEGASUSRESCUE
@PEGASUSRESCUE Жыл бұрын
Yeah we were scouting the area from the Dokis Reserve for a film production, then we had a bunch of sequences to film on the rapids, so had to test them out for the stunt team, and the safest place to do the filming. Since we had a week for preparing the location, we took advantage of running our team through some site specific training. Never mind rafting the rapids we had to drive our big camera crane boats up and come back down in reverse with a canoe attached while they filmed the close ups of the actors, now that was challenging.

what if you have to descend quickly for life-threatening reasons (fire, wasps)? With an eight I didn't have all these protections either, and I descended several times with full equipment and K9 with only my brake hand to control the speed! with the ID this is not possible, it is blocked and has to go all the way back! With the Rig it does, and if you let go of the lever it will stop the fall too, I find good gloves and the correct position of your brake hand very important! I think good use at lower altitudes and knowing your material is important to me.
