It's not Canadian workers. It's Canadian government workers that walk off the job because they're pampered losers who already get paid more than the rest of Canada but their unions tell him they can get more if they protest during the holidays

Our unions are weak in Canada. Our reps get cushy jobs and they forget who they work for. Unions have been corrupt and people are over it.

I'm not defending scams and swindles....this was a horrific, ruinous thing to do to innocent investors. And reminding people of what happened has plenty of merit. But the CBC has never shown any interest...none....in covering any business stories that are positive. Scandals or failures, the more sensational the better. That's all they ever bother to report. Because the CBC is an echo chamber of socialist/communist dogma.

*sigh* It wasn't a technicality; it was literally his constitutional rights that was violated. Honestly, after an (alleged) sexual predator was voted as President not once but TWICE. I don't want to hear people complaining about Cosby being free anymore.

Great chat about Say Nothing. I look forward to watching it. Being Canadian this period of conflict and frankly Irish history generally just wasn't spoken of much in our classrooms. I remember watching Michael Collins and In the Name of the Father in high school history and law classes respectively and we read a small section in a textbook about An Gorta Mór (The Great Famine) but that was the extent of our learning of Irish history. I could definitely go on a tangent about how much I've been into reading and watching various things not only this subject but Irish history, music and language beginning in 2016, but I won't because doing so in youtube comments is absurd 😆. I just appreciate that this history is finally being shown and dramatized in a real way, even if it does make for some uncomfortable conversations. Go raibh maith agaibh - thank you for covering this series and subject.

It’s crazy how this “Mr. Big” scheme, which somehow isn’t entrapment (but it’s totally entrapment 💯) is fully legal somehow, yet questioning criminals after invoking their rights is SO against the law, that killers walk free. I get it-rights are important- it just seems…unfair. 🤔

Guess I need to go over the Canadian charter bc I’ve seen numerous confessions & interrogations in Canada where they say “no comment” over & over but the cops keep asking questions. I understand they get to call counsel & chat over the phone, but why aren’t lawyers allowed to sit next to their clients & say “don’t answer,” or the classic Law & Order-“we’re done here gentleman, let’s go.” 😂 I know in England, the cops question suspects even w/ counsel present & w/ the suspect saying “no comment” to every question. Crazy how this specific part of interrogations are so different b/w England, Canada & the US but everything else is so similar. I absolutely love your podcast-been binge listening-& what you do for all these families (but especially this family)-is amazing. Investigative Journalism at its finest. 😢🙏

Canada’s Justice System is disgraceful! Victims and their families never get the full just they deserve. Criminals walk a way with a maximum of a slap on the wrist. My heart breaks for this family

And then if even if they get a “lengthy sentence,” by Canada’s standards, they get day parole or full parole super quick! That is crazy-especially the day parole thing. Downright dangerous imo.

The lawyer says, “No such thing as brainwashing.” And if he says that phrase out loud enough times, you definitely can’t get brainwashed… It’s kinda like, NOT thinking brown skinned people are any different or any lesser than white skinned people. It’s also like, NOT thinking that brown skinned people are as smart as white skinned people. Ya know? Like, it’s kinda like, NOT thinking that a human being’s skin pigmentation is called the RACE of the human being…. Wow, Keith’s lawyer is superduper smart and he would surely know that NOT being able to be a person who is brainwashed is an actual thing. Like ummm, it’s not real. Ya know, like NOT that brainwashing was something that ended after the cold war era, but that it doesn’t exist anymore because, uhhh… because he said so. There ya go everybody.

I am disappointed in this conversation. I feel a lot of the criticism was too soft. The reality is the CBC is a government captured propaganda machine that is at the beck and call of a government that has publicly said Canada is a post-national state with no identity. Taxpayers should not be funding CBC at 100%. After 9 years of Trudeau's government, it has disgraced and failed its original mandate and deserves to be completely defended and dismantled. The gravy train is coming to an end.

Those two people on the right are typical ignorant haters. Saying Taylor is not the best singer and dancer. An artist doesn't have to do whistle notes to be a great singer. Taylor does a lot more than that if you actually listen to her albums. She doesn't have to dance all the time because she has dancers. Not only female fans. I am an OG fan from the first album and I am 53 yr old white man. Jackson you don't know what you are talking about with Taylor.
