Joe - while I did quite enjoy this video from an ideas perspective, for someone new to excel, there are so many easier and faster ways to do this. A new excel user is generally going to have trouble with ifs statements.

I have a question. When I import everything after using this for a couple days, I start to get duplicate names in the BATTING sheet, which messes up the calculations. How do I get rid of the duplicate names so that they don't show up in the future?

Ill make a video on it soon, but you just look for the columns that talk about fantasy points. For example, on the Batters tab I have projections of fantasy points along with projections per dollar. I have columns for % of times they go over certain amount of fantasy points , Fantasy points the last 5 days and more. they also show who they are facing pitching along with their stats so you can target pitchers who have a high opponent ba avg and so on. You can also stack teams going against pitchers who appear to be bad. Hope this helps.

Joe, I know this is 8 years after this video was uploaded, and I'm not sure if you even use your KZbin account anymore, but this really saved my whole night. I've been messing around with ChatGPT for almost 12 hours trying to build an optimizer for projections I did, and you explained in 15 minutes what I couldn't figure out in an entire day with AI. Thanks for doing this and being so good at explaining things.

If anyone has the files and it work for you. Can you share some tips for me. I’m having a hard time getting the file to work. Did you do or press anything else in excel or press anything else ? beside saving the file , initialized and pressing upload today game to get it to work. I have been trying for a week and it won’t run. Nothing is happening when I press upload and run simulation.

Nice job! I just noticed that your formula to compute Miles Apart is incorrect in your link. I believe it should be "B" and "C" instead of "C" and "D" . It is correct in your spreadsheet tutorial example. Thanks for the great info.

You would need to set up a seperate tab of zip codes and latitude and longitude values and then do a VLOOKUP off that table to pull them in. In the video I show how it is done. You get a table at gist.github.com/erichurst/7882666 or just Google it and there are others too.
