In the late 80s I had all these cassettes (hours) of Arthur experimenting with different versions of these songs, I wish to god I still had that.

"Versailles" (1988) for Baroque ensemble by the Toronto-based composer Linda Catlin Smith (b. New York City, 1957) Performed by the Ontario, Canada-based ensemble Les Coucous Bénévoles (est. 1985) Performers: ● Elissa Poole - Baroque flute ● David Greenberg - Baroque violin ● Nan Mackie - bass viola da gamba ● Colin Tilney - harpsichord Program notes: In Versailles I was thinking about variation and the geometry of releationships: moving an object in a still life alters the whole picture; by turning a stone in your hand, other colours may be revealed. The shifting of the geometry when walking through the gardens of Versailles… --Linda Catlin Smith

What's the source on this one? The excerpts from Lost In The Meshes and Roulette etc. on your channel I'm familiar with but I'm stumped on this 8-minute version.

This is from a lesser known 1986 compilation called "From The Kitchen Archives No.3 / Amplified: New Music Meets Rock, 1981-1986"

Living the same day over and over again is not what God wanted me to do Almighty God has believed in me and now, I believe in myself too Yes, it’s a scary place out there, that I know But I want to test my limits and see how far I can go

It just popped up and I was trying to skip but after thinking a lot, I thought I would give it a try and I can't believe this is the marvelous song sung by none other than my favourite Abida Parveen. What a beautiful poem (Ghazal).

colours start talking and conversation becomes fragrant if you visit me, even my wounds start look like flowers and give fragrance, my eyes are wet with tears every evening in hope that may by you my moon will visit me this night world is crazy to worship idols made of stones but never praise stone mills which grind flour to feed us we should have avoided to remember you but flowers looks like you as i look at them i miss you in the moment of beloved test we stayed calm zia but after that i celebrated my sad destiny by shedding tears, it is very poor translatin but maybe helpful to understand
