It's tough to have a good bike and be profitable for $500 and I think that's what happened to the flea. We haven't had stock in a year and no indication of them coming soon. The super73 is being liquidated and can't buy any replacement parts for it. The Voltaic lion & lion pro are the only ones around that price currently. We hope to see a few more budget models later this year for sale.

Green light usually indicates a dead battery, or even an overcharged high voltage battery but that is very rare. Double check the battery voltage with a voltmeter to confirm. Fully charged should be around 20.5 volts. Below 16/17v it will error green when riding. Yellow and green together is a motor communication error, double check all wires behind the plastics to make sure nothing it pinched. Since you have the green error at startup it could be related to a bad battery so best to rule that out first.

That is a choice you wont regret when you need a replacement part.

@@miccavo try changing speed modes. If you can't then it's most likely the throttle. See in our video when we explain the yellow code

@hsmotorsports9239 thanks for your reply, I replaced the throttle and it didn't fix the issue. I was also able to successfully change the speed modes.

@@christinetorres3943 failed controller unfortunately. Take the plastic cover off and pull the board apart. You will likely find a burn mark or if it's brushless the capacitor has blown.

@@vincentwelshman8435 that is correct. The 20" 48v has more torque and pep. These are tuned a bit lower on torque to preserve battery life.

Unfortunately that will never happen. The Pur Speed brand was Thumpstar, then XRT, then Orion, then XRT again, and now Pur Speed. The bikes are dangerous in our opinion and just changes names when there are issues. The battery is covered in a shrinkwrap in the downtube not hard cased. Because the wiring was ran externally of the cells, after the battery runs against the frame it's arcs and shorts the batteries turning it into a roman candle. Thats tough since in that range you sacrifice quite a bit if its new. I would look for the Stacyc used market, this way if there are issues you can get parts. Other brands might not have parts available if you need something.

@@crosman909 that is a tough decision but if you have hills with bumpy terrain and don't care about 20+ mph then the voltaic 18 is a great bike. It has adjustable front and rear air suspension which is huge. Orion is a standard spring forks with no adjustment and the 18 is a rigid fork. After that I would recommend the Orion 20, 28mph top speed and 4hr ride time. Hills might be a challenge with the 18 as the rider gets better.

@@gmonkey9424 unfortunately that's a toss up. If it won't turn on all the time and a yellow error code for throttle error I would start there.bthe green led could also be burned out since all 3 should turn on initially.

@ you have to have the power button on when attaching battery or you get nothing. Then it flashes yellow and red 1x then shuts off

@@gmonkey9424 it could be the controller and residual power or a bad Throttle. If you don't have an extra throttle I would get it to test, if not then an extra throttle is always handy to have since they do go out.

@@thambu19 that is a throttle communication error. A new throttle will fix it. Our H&S 19mm bar riser conversion kits are very popular since they are thinner and included a riser bar for $99 plus grips. That same kit with stacyc will be roughly $200

@@wesleygriffin9674 the stacyc 18 will fit him perfectly but will outgrow it before the stacyc 20. The frame on the 20 has riser bars and frame that is slightly longer. My son likes the 20 and rides it no problem. Either will fit with the 20 lasting longer based on size.

@@Dirtyfish_22 there is fluid in the hydraulic brake system already. A bleed kit is not included with the brakes.

@drewgray1458 Just like all the bikes there can be issues. From the ones we experienced a throttle here and there and a set of motor gears on 1 bike. Overall pretty reliable. The prevent the damaged gears we recommend not landing on the rear wheel with a full throttle. We have seen that strip the gears in Voltaic and Stacyc bikes. All those issues I have mentioned have been covered by the Voltaic 1yr warranty so that was great.

@@westonreay9615 yes hydraulic is much easier since you move fluid vs a cable. The X levers are closer and adjustable vs the S model that is not

@@travis1118 I would say it's a tie but the Orion goes faster at 28mph. But if you get the Voltaic 20" 48v model it has better torque and acceleration from its 750w motor.

At 5:46 that rider was 5 about to be 6. He is now grown a bit more and able to handle the Flying Fox 18 with no problem.
