basically, Germany wins ww2. They take large colonies in France, the UK, the Balkans and in the former USSR, including Ukraine, Moscow region, the Baltics and the Caucus region. The former USSR signs peace with Germany withdrawing the the A-A line, the Arkangelsk-Astrackan line. The German army grows weak and the USSR sees a chance to retake some land, despite initial gains, the Germans hold the Soviets off. The Soviets take minimal gain, and eventually fracture into many different states, from ones aiming to restore the Tsar, to bring national socialism to Russia, and the remnants of Soviet forces. One of these factions is the Black League, whose whole goal is to reunite Russia, then invade Germany. The Black league, whose belief is that the German race should be wiped, stops at nothing to achieve its goal. If the Black League reunites Russia, they unleash the great trial, which is justice upon the Germans. In simple terms this means the eradication of Germany as a state, as a people and as a culture. The Black League takes immense precautions, building nuclear bunkers to resume the fighting to ensure the Germans do not survive a post nuclear world. Of course there are many factions in Russia who aren't as extreme as the Black League, but as the game leaves off when a faction reunites Russia (minus the Moscow region), there's no cannon ending to Russia's story. In most cases, even if choosing a less extreme faction, it will resort in nuclear war.
