No one gets involved in these action movies like Verdy. I love watching her eyes. She has the most expressive eyes I've ever seen.❤😊

She's also incredibly empathic which certainly helps when you're reacting to films.

This movie came out when stories were circulating about Vietnam War era POWs still being held by the Communist Vietnamese government. Every one of these stories was false. The list of soldiers still missing was readily available. Scammers in SE Asia began contacting these families telling them they had proof of their loved ones whereabouts. They would request money in exchange for the evidence. As it turned out the evidence was often worn but counterfeit dog tags. All this was promoted by movies like MISSING IN ACTION starting Chuck Norris. That movie had its follow up action flicks and Rambo 2 was thrown into the mix. There were several investigations into the matter with all of them coming to the same inclusion; there were no POWs left behind. The government of Vietnam even prosecuted and convicted 7 of its citizens involved in such scams. They were sentenced to lengthy prison terms.😮 It's sad that so many families will never know what happened to their loved ones but that is the nature of war. I have a great great uncle that freed his slaves, divided the plantation among them, then rode off to fight in Cuba's first War of Independence. He was never heard from again. No one knows what happened to him.😢

This one is more of an action movie compared to the heavy war commentary of the original film, but I’ve always considered it an ‘80’s action classic. What a wild time, The ‘80’s! I was just a kid but I watched this film and loved it. 😂 They even had Rambo toys and a CARTOON SHOW! It was a different time, but life was good. ❤

GREAT reaction!! My standout on this whole album is Dirty Diana! That song is supernova hot...and sexy...and dirty... While this album didn't quite top Thriller (for me), it came darn close! Side 2 is the winner for me...but the whole thing is awesome! Cheers!

Hi Verdy, You do know i am a Patreon to your channel?. Anyway i am from & born in The Netherlands. This song Bad i could dance like Michael in my young years. I even did a musical, well the song was inside a musical back in 1990. In dutch (Netherlands) we would sing to this song bad differently, i translate: "Because am bad am bad you know it". Dutch ( completely humor): Ik wil naar bed! Naar bed jij weet het! Ik wil naar bed!! Bed bed bed. In other words in English Michael is saying he wants to go to bed 😂

When this came out in the UK it was rated for children to watch at the cinema. Scary
@FrancisXLordКүн бұрын
In fairness, they did include a disclaimer warning. Interestingly the same warning they gave for Jaws back in 1975, which means kids could also get in to see that movie - to me that's even scarier. They didn't rate it a 12 because the argument was that the violence depicted could not be imitated, without a dinosaur. A fair argument I'd say.

I hope you do a reaction to Rocky V. It's not as good as the other movies, but it's still worth watching because it does have some moments in the movie that are intersting. Plus, it acts as sort of an epilogue to the events of this movie, as the events of "Rocky IV" tend to impact Rocky way more than this film lets on. I'll leave it at that. Great reaction as always.

From Wikipedia: "Burning Heart", which is about an "all or nothing" battle, was inspired by the Cold War, as shown by lyrics such as "Is it East versus West?" and "Can any nation stand alone?" The Communist East versus Capitalist West conflict is reflected in the film by the fight in the boxing ring between Rocky and Ivan Drago.

I saw the Rocky movies out of order. IV was the first one I saw, then III, then I, then II. Weird, I know, but I was a kid watching cable. But that also meant that I watched those first 3 knowing what was going to happen to Apollo and Mick.
@thewolfofwallstreet627Күн бұрын
Fun fact. They did toy with the idea of having Apollo live, and he just ended up being physically disabled to where he ended up in a wheelchair for the rest of his life. There was an arc in this film where he resented Rocky for throwing the towel, and how upset he was that he'd have to spend the remaining years of his life in a wheelchair. I forget why they changed it to him just outright being dead, but I believe Stallone even said he wish he had gone the route of having Apollo just end up in a wheelchair instead. Either way, I love this film. Granted, it's not as great story wise compared to some of the other Rocky films like the first three obviously, or even arguably the sixth one in "Rocky Balboa." But, I think it's a very emotional film imo. Plus, I feel like the music for this movie in particular plays more of a prominent role.

There's a plethora of extremely successful movies that have gained a loyal, cult-like following, such as basically every Harry Potter movie, likewise with all the Star Wars movies. Cult classics, however, specifically refer to movies that may be less successful financially or shunned by the mainstream. Cult classics are by definition, a film that fails upon its first theatrical release, but then finds a great success and following upon further releases or home video.

I saw this 6 times in theaters, that's how epic it was. I already loved Dinosaurs as a kid but this was mind blowing. When CGI was relatively new and was blended beautifully with practical effects. Not completely depended on as it is now. I will never forget feeling the steps of the T-Rex as the water ripples... One of the greatest cinematic experiences ever. To think Spielberg was working on this and "Schindler's List" at the same time...

I was born not long after the Vietnam War on Mother's Day '77 and it was my dad's birthday who was born Mother's Day '47 lol. Him and my mom met in the Navy and I was born on the Naval base in Charleston, SC before the family moved back to dad's hometown of Birmingham, AL. I was in the Navy out of high school and never even saw a ship! I was an aircraft electronics technician and the planes I worked on were too big for aircraft carriers.
