Male elk are called stags, female elk are called does, and juvenile elk are called fawns, elk are deer, a deer as any of the family Cervidae, the males, females, and juveniles of deer (family Cervidae) are called stags, does, and fawns respectively, calling male, female, and juvenile elk bulls, cows, and calves is for laypeople who believe elk as bovids.

Some vikings kept brown bears to guard their houses like dogs. They get used to humans fast. If you raise a brown bear cub from the beginning, they get very tame.Taking care of a pet brown bear is a fuck lot of effort, but definitely not impossible. kzbin.infoxKMB7G1f5WM kzbin.info/www/bejne/e6KYeJ2ngc9mhc0 kzbin.info/www/bejne/bGnMlXScjLOFjtE kzbin.infoJxsjsO5W3Cw

Wow that’s interesting, I never would’ve thought that they could transmit all those diseases! Even back in the old days when my Native American ancestors lived off the land, they’d eat deer, moose, practically any animal that had meat but they never ate bear meat. They must’ve known something about that! Thank you for great video! 👍🏼

How close where you to the bears? The quility looks great! What type of camera do you use?
@naturesepyon

Minimum of 100 meters, requires a telescopic lense or super zoom lense, to photograph or record predators.

Distance will impact recording quality, so substantial equipment is necessary, and is expensive. However the benefit of recording from a distance is you'll get a more wild and natural behavior out of the animals instead of a cautious of humans behavior. Wind direction can also impact this to an extent, though bears do have very strong noses, so it can be difficult to keep them unaware of your presence. The wind was strong that day, though i'm not abundantly sure if it was in my favor I may have been up wind as opposed to the preferred down wind. It took them a couple minutes to take notice of the male bear who wasnt very far away from them. I reckon I went relatively unnoticed. If you're back country in a vehicle its best to stay in it, most animals can close a gap very quickly especially a mother with cubs if she feels they are threatened. The key is you don't want to disturb the animals you are recording, one for better natural footage but also in the interest of the conservation, you dont want them wasting calories fleeing from you or pursuing you. Also animals that display aggression towards humans typically end up destroyed or euthanized, so if you love the wildlife keep your distance.
