Yeah it’s definitely getting harder to find steelbooks in decent condition as also it seems a lot are made of easily scratched material also

@@TheRealSlimsagey7 yeah I always seem to have 3/4 I’m waiting for also lol. Yeah they do get a lot of bad press but I’ve never had any trouble with them thankfully. Yeah the fomo can be hard but this one I just couldn’t miss!

@@DanTheGamesMan They give you like 6 weeks to order a game and so as long as you check their website every now and then you shouldn't miss out. The collectors editions are pricey but they are very above and beyond most collectors editions you get elsewhere. The days of going into CEX and buying 5 games for a tenner are coming to an end, so many people buy digitally therefore companys are doing small print runs in general so there is not going to be loads of second hand physical games in the wild for current gen consoles. If you want to avoid disappointment, physical collectors have to get on board buying new in some cases

@ yeah I always keep an eye on the Limited Run website, as it’s very rare that I miss one because of that six week window which I enjoy. I agree when it comes to beer gen such at the PS5 and Xbox Series games there is going to be a lot less physical games in the wild for collectors in the future, let alone now.

Yeah I think a lot of companies now won’t take the risk with expensive collectors editions and this is why Limited Run end up doing them. Least you can always enjoy me opening them lol

@DanTheGamesMan at first absolutely, and it'd make them feel like more of a sellout for arresting him but then when he tries to take over it'd have been more impactful than it was with The Nahualli (had to look up his name) and his redemption as a Saint in a potential sequel could have been a huge selling point. In the opening arrest mission I just randomly thought "this would have been a cool introduction for Johnny but maybe this guy will be equally good" and then as the game went on I couldn't get past how much that one change would have the game feel like more of a roller-coaster for long time fans

@ yeah I think the weakest part of this game is the story and the fact the characters are so unlikeable lol, it would of really helped to have had some of the old characters like you said.

I think it ain’t to bad for that, surprised it’s not on Gamespass tbh

There would have been a Kenner 'Judge Dredd'' 1995 toy line as well - however the film released as a 15/R rating. As a result Kenner cancelled the line. I can imagine they would have been incredible.

@@DanTheGamesMan Kenner were the best. I still remember the figures I have from Batman: The Animated Series, Legends of Batman, Batman Forever, Batman & Robin, The Lost World: Jurassic Park, Star Wars: The Power of the Force and Star Wars: Episode 1: The Phantom Menace toylines....

@ yeah in the mid 90s they seemed to make all the best toys for all the best franchises, sadly it seemed after JP The Lost World it was all downhill….

@@rorschach766 thank you! Yeah off to a good start in this new challenge, but this is just the beginning! I’ve had my gamesroom for around 5 years now and I just use curtains and keep them closed most of time, not the most high tech answer but it works lol

Honestly it’s difficult to do it justice! I’m going for the basic version, as tempting as the Bloodline edition is it’s a lot for just digital content, I miss the only 2K collectors editions…

@DanTheGamesMan I think I'm going for the Deadman edition partly because it comes out a week early and I have that week off work. Don't like not having the physical however I think I will get the standard edition as well when it goes on sale

Yeah I think it works better with more focal pieces like large statues, but then again I rotate my display periodically also. Yeah I think the time of Funkos has long passed…

​@DanTheGamesMan I always struggle with whether to take things out of the box or not, I have all the Zelda Amiibo unboxed because I want to use them, but also i know I devalued them all by doing that haha. So I only buy things I intend to keep long term but mostly all my figures is on display unboxed, mainly because for me I could just print off the box art for free if thats what I wanted to display lol but I understand why you hunt those see through boxes Amiibos are sort of annoying actually as you cant really put them back in. All my statues boxes are stored away and can be put back in if needed

@ yeah amiibos are a tough one as they look really good boxed, but I think even better loose but then of course they lose a lot of value. It’s strange as I know I’ll never sell any of my bits but I just hate opening them knowing I’ll devalue them, does that sound weird?

​​​@@DanTheGamesManNa of course not, I think everyone should collect however they want. Personally I like being able to see my figures without all the carboard and plastic obscuring it but I sacrificed their value unsealing them. I guess for me I have no intention of selling my Street Fighter and Dark Stalkers figures for example, so devaluing them doesnt matter too much to me and I can enjoy them more outside of the box. I did however open the boxes with laser precision to ensure no tears or rips occurred and stored them in air tight containers lol I can put them back in if I ever need to, they wont be brand new but still retain most of the value I guess But again I dont think there is a wrong way of doing it, everyone should weigh the pros and cons and do whats best for them The amiibos are a lost cause, they will just be forever unboxed value now haha but they are part of my Zelda shrine so no intention at all of selling them.

@ yeah exactly everyone collects differently and that’s why I love seeing other people’s collections. I do hate boxes where you can’t see the figure at all mind you, they suck and this will actively put me off buying the figure due to this reason.

I never played much of 3, was it very different from the first 2?

@DanTheGamesMan well it wasn't quite as good as the first 2 but captured a lot of the atmosphere and feel of the originals, and you can play all 3 back to back and it doesn't feel out of place, which considering it was made 20 years later is fair going

@ yeah honestly I think we’re all just very lucky we got a third game at all.

@@DanTheGamesMan Absolutely, the series was dead in the ground and even the most optimistic of us had given up all hope, it's pretty miraculous that we got the game

@ yeah it must be one of the longest waits ever for a sequel

For all its faults I enjoyed Duke Nukem Forever and also Far Cry 5 but I played very little Fortnite and it was very early days…

@ you should give it another go. Especially not there is a no build mode. I went off it for a long time because I couldn’t build. Cars in the game helps too.

​@DanTheGamesMan Like, for me its in my top 5 games ever made, I know most people prefer Ocarina of time (which is also amazing of course) but I really enjoyed sailing around looking for secrets and visually it looks so much better. The music as well is just so good

@ yeah there’s something very magical about the graphics style and I do like the idea of the sailing sections
