I've always enjoyed sewing and being creative with fabric. So I really enjoyed seeing this because I've never seen how sarees are done! That fabric and the design look stunning. Of course it helps to have a beautiful model!😊🎉❤

See, as a white English woman I love love clothes from other cultures, mostly because they are more versatile and practical. But I've been told so many times (by other white people) that I "look foreign" or "can't do that" why? It's fabric... Culture is for sharing I think ❤

The clothing/styles in your culture are just soo gorgeous! My daughter is always seeing videos of women like you wearing traditional clothing and tell me "Mom why don't we have a culture like them, I just wish I could wear that stuff too?" "Why can't we wear that too mama"? With is being "white" we would be considered as being disrespectful for dressing as those from a culture that we're not a part of. It's sad but ya really can't do anything without offending someone these days for some reason or another. Looking back after DNA testing we have ancestors that link back to Sicily, Chinese Dai, Nigerian, Northern Han Chinese, Bengali, as well as Iberian. But we look white a.f! Lol So, would that be considered "cultural appropriation" for us to dress as our late ancestors did or how does that work? Askin for a friend... Lol
