How to make the texture glowing on the mask pattern?
@STVinMotion2 ай бұрын
I know of two ways this can be done: one is by having an emissive texture (the model should have UV maps) and the one I used here is Vertex Painting. Perhaps reading about the creation process of a similar reward will answer this in more detail stvinmotion.com/loomia The relevant part in the post: "after watching some tutorials, I discovered that I could paint directly on Oblivia using the Mesh Paint tool, which paints directly on the vertices. I had to create a material that used the Vertex node to ensure that my vertex paint would appear on Oblivia’s mesh. I meticulously painted Oblivia using three colors: red, green, and blue, ensuring a balance between them so that each time a different color lit up, it would have a significant impact."

Did you have any issues with your lasers when exporting with an alpha layer from UE? I have similar lasers and when I export with an alpha, I lose the bloom around my lasers.

Yes, I added glow in After Effects. It's also important to configure the rendered files from UE as Premultiplied Alpha on black in AE.

very interesting !what is the extension of the clips? h265 with alpha? ready to use rendered videos ?or graphic elements that will be composed with gpu real time render?
@STVinMotion5 ай бұрын
These are rendered video clips (VJ Loops) encoded in DXV and mixed in a Resolume Arena. DXV is a proprietary codec of Resolume and its advantages are preserving that Alpha channels and smoother playback, even in high resolutions, due to it being less compressed (but each file is MB huge) and it being encoded by the graphics card.
