To the people saying she's abused, or forced. Not true. Elephants are very smart and creative. This elephant is a artist. Don't be gloomy. She lives at a elephant hospital. No abuse. She clearly enjoys painting. I've seen her paint a elephant no cuts. She's great. Most elephants are almost just as smart as a human along with chimpanzees, dolphins, octopus, gorrilla, wolfs, and ravens. But I would argue They are the smartest out of all of those animals. They are not like dogs or cats. They are genuinely smart like we are. They just don't have the anatomy to speak.

It's weird that people havent realized its a scam. The keeper is actually guiding the elephant's trunk by pulling their ears. If that's painting then my dog is a chef when he fetches a duck.

From what i have read about this subject the elephant is trained with postive reinforcement so it remembers where to place the brush...still pretty incredible that any animal can do this:)

Why is it not trending, some of just know this now. This ain't fair, this elephant should have been in the news around the world, or is it fake or green screen?

Hi. It's not A.I, green screen or digital manipulation or puppetry. The elephant is real and it is painting.

I have always wanted a pet elephant. I have been to India many times and see a guy walking down the road with his elephant and I get jealous! I knew they were smart, but painting... WOW! Think of the ramifications. Choosing color, type of brush, types of stroke, and planning the picture by seeing in her head then putting it on canvas. It is really almost unbelievable.
@ThaiAussies3 ай бұрын
To give some perspective. Suda was trained to paint by repeating various types of stroles with the assistance of her Mahout. So the elephant will know which way to paint, up, down, left, right, softly, harder stroke by the way the Mahout, pulls or pushes the elephants trunk / tusk. All the same it is quite an amazing thing, the communication skills between elephant and its trainer.

Maravilloso!!!!!!!

Does the elephant also read and write?
@ThaiAussies3 ай бұрын
Good question. They can recocnize certain shapes and symbols but most likely unable to read and write, even to the most simplistic level. May possibly be able to make a certain stroke for 'yes' and another for 'no' when asked a very simple question similar to what we might ask our pets.

Fake , the handler is controlling the trunk movement.

It is a combined effort. Does that make it fake or any less real that the elephant is holding the brush and putting it to canvas? Depends on what your epectations and perspective are, I suppose.
