Hi, enjoyed the video, quick query if i may? Regarding the jump in flow rates when you open the isolator, is that an indication that the boiler pump is then boosting the ufh pump and increasing the flow around the circuits? Thanks

What do you call the device at 1:41 and are there other ways of protecting the UFH system from overheating?

@@semod8614 Its a Pipe thermostat. Yes the boiler Flow temperature is set to a maximum temperature the pipe stat is a backup

What is actually difference in 652 and 655 actuators?
@tomplumb775425 күн бұрын
Hi you can alter the direction of the motor on the latter, by switching a jumper within the actuator body this helps when you change the orientation of the valve.

How does it wire into the VR70 or 71?

Any idea if there is a diagram or parts list on how you achieve this setup?

Hi unfortunately not. I adapted what was on-site.

Hi tom stupid questions Without the white cylinder that goes between the actuator and the valve itself , the valve will not turn Correct?

Hi all questions are good! Yes you are correct, the adapter is required.

Hi Tom My valve has stopped working, the motor works but the valve itself does not rotate on the inside even when I try to turn it by hand, is there any way to clean the valve from dirt?
@tomplumb77548 ай бұрын
Hi that sounds like something is blocking the valve, I’d suggest removing and taking a look.

two q's: 1) If it's 18° outside (like today) but I want my home to be 25° I'm seeing an actual flow of 36.5° in my heating circuit. The house will never get to the desired temp when set at 0.65 as the default 2) Is it possible that the heat curve can be too high causing the pressure to be kicked from the pressure valve? I had mine set to 3 or it takes ages for my home to heat but notices every 2-3 weeks I was losing between 0.3-0.5 bar. I can't find a leak anywhere
@tomplumb7754 Жыл бұрын
Hi, If you request a higher indoor temperature the flow temperature will alter to achieve this. It will depend on what the Pressure release valve is set at and whether this setting is exceeded, not much chance of this when running low temperatures. Sounds like you have a leak. Or the Expansion vessel needs looking at.

Hi id recommend joining the Heating System design forum and DT forum on Facebook. Also going on the Viessmman training and asking lots of questions while there is a good idea. Good luck.

Interesting setup mate. Do you have a high limit stat on the ufh to stop overheating on the ufh? Also, did you not want to go down the pump group setup instead? I have a similar install soon but I'm limited for space, would having separate components potentially take up less space? Which model ESBE mixer and actuator is that? I'm enjoying the content mate, keep it up.
@tomplumb77542 жыл бұрын
Hi thanks No stat on the UFH, you can set the maximum temperature in the controls. We did not have the space for the pump group and often don’t so making you own up helps, essentially with space issues. The valve is an VRG130 the KV value can be selected using there data sheet. I use the ARA600 as the actuator 120sec ideally

Did you find out if Vaillant is having clockwise or anticlockwise ? I'll be wiring installation next week, I'm still waiting for VR71 and another VR70 as I have 5 heating zones and two cylinders.
@tomplumb77542 жыл бұрын
Sadly i never remember or foolishly dont make a note. Being a simple swap of the connection in the wiring centre i have never worried. I will make a note on the next one (if I remember 😂) Are you running a mixer per zone? I did a dual cylinder setup and used parallel charging with Mixers as they had high water usage at random times.
@igorchuchro49912 жыл бұрын
On your installation did you have higher temp on the cylinders and mixer after that ?
@tomplumb77542 жыл бұрын
@@igorchuchro4991 Yes, i used an ESBE mixer on the UFH so it could run in parallel when the HW is Charging.
