i have a Tors Delete from Motion Pro. both dots on the Slides do not stop at full throttle position but they pass the windows and go higher up. this will make it almost impossible. but i figured it out already why it is like that. the walls of these more or less bad quality caps are a little thinner in comparing to the OEM ones and a not further explained part is missing, because those tors delete kit caps actually do not need it to get it to work properly. but the result of this then is, that the slide springs are able to squeeze tighter and the dots will not lineup on window level anymore. but i've found a way around this issue, by adjusting this little speed limiter screw on the Master Cylinder. screw it in a couple of turns, so that the dot of at least one carb lines up with the window at full throttle position and start from there with syncing. after you're done, turn the speed limiter screw out, just like it was before. the best solotion still is a sync tool, but unfortunately i lost my or it was stolen. i def need to replace it fast as possible, bc it makes it lot easier and more accurate. espeacially to sync the idle.

Looks awesome Tate! Nice work on this project. Hopefully you can title it as civilian. As mentioned above, Vermont will title anything with a Bill of Sale. Also, I've titled two WWII military vehicles in Wisconsin, no problem. They were "Bonded" for 5 years, then the Title is clear after that.

The bowls overflows are connected together right? At the bottom?
@tealakota2 жыл бұрын
Overflows, no but there are nipples on the sides of each carb facing each other and you do connect those with a hose, this helps balance them out.
@reggiexp692 жыл бұрын
@@tealakota ah okay, so only the choke hole are connected to each other no other nipples, good to know, for some reason i thought the bowls overflow at the bottom were connected i have a hard time finding on google any info, and nobody seemed to reply to my question on facebook banshee pages... and stupid me got rdlc 350 carbs those 31k named, they should work but when its your first banshee and you just rebuild it, and you install carbs that didnt come from a banshee its not plug and play like i hoped.. there was a hole to fill (probably something for pressure for the fuel tank for the rdlc bike) also have 2 nipples on the engine side of the carbs that probably where for oil mixture that i connected together.

Every one of these I've seen has had a bent rear/right fender. I think it's because there's no mirror on that side and the spare tire also blocks the view.

I'm restoring a similar truck. A nice byproduct of making it a military truck is that it's painted with olive drab, a very flat paint. This hides many flaws in amateur body work.

Thanks! The trike is in storage for a while so I can focus on this build. After this build is done I plan to do some improvements on the trike. The only thing wrong with it right now is I need a new fuel pump seal. It's leaking pretty bad so I can't drive it at least until that is fixed.

Good to see progress. I am still waiting on new parts for my engine. Did you miss installing small oil tube for lubricating the timing chain?
@tealakota3 жыл бұрын
Thanks, I had a great time with this. I did get that oiler tube in yes. I just uploaded part 2 of this engine rebuild and I should have part 3 out tomorrow sometime. Spoiler alert... I started the motor this past Sunday and it runs beautifully! The startup is in the video. Only problem I'm having is the starter won't turn the motor over on 12v... I have to use two batteries in series and bump up to 24v in order to get it to turn over. I have 2 older starters and 1 new rebuilt one (tagged with 12v) and none of them can crank it over on 12v for some weird reason. Still investigating.
@keithsgarage58313 жыл бұрын
@@tealakota with spark plugs out, does the engine turn over fairly easily by hand?

Have you thought of taking the chain out that's between the end of the winch cable and the hook? It looks like that would make the lift much easier.
@tealakota3 жыл бұрын
Yeah I have but for now, if I need to take up the extra length I just double the chain back on itself and that seems to work pretty good. I may take it off someday though.
@notcharles2 жыл бұрын
@@tealakota "seems to work pretty good" Well, if that chain is 12" long, it means you must raise the load 12 inches more than were that chain replaced with the hook.

I can appreciate the amount of work. I just completed putting together and installing the same bed on my WC40. Counting all the sheet metal parts, beams, planks, brackets, bolts, nuts, washers & lock washers, I figure there were 410 parts. Save your wood parts (and the angle brackets) as you'll need them for reference. The parts have to fit precisly, as the bed, fenders, and running boards all bolt together and to the frame. I also made my own wood parts, which was very satisfying work.
@tealakota4 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the advice. Yes, I plan to save everything. I don't have a whole lot to go on so I'm feeling around in the dark a bit with this project but I'm loving every second of it!
